Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of Tin Tuc Ninh Hong Nga affirmed: “This is the recognition of the Party and State for the achievements that many generations of Tin Tuc journalists have devoted and worked hard to cultivate for the development of the newspaper in particular, Vietnam News Agency and revolutionary journalism in general. With a proud journey over the past four decades, Tin Tuc newspaper, regardless of the period, has always been a newspaper that has constantly innovated to adapt to development. Although there are many difficulties ahead, we will always take the tradition of the newspaper as a compass; take the trust of readers as a driving force, to continue to maintain the brand name “Tin Tuc newspaper - reliable, responsive”; “Tin Tuc newspaper - a bridge between the Government and the people”.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu Viet Trang, Party Secretary, General Director, Chairman of the Vietnam News Agency Journalists Association, emphasized: In recent years, Tin Tuc newspaper has made a stronger breakthrough when quickly grasping and applying new communication methods, developing multi-platform information. This is the general trend of modern journalism. To do that, Tin Tuc journalists have had to change their journalistic thinking and methods, becoming more versatile and more responsive. To do that, the newspaper team has made efforts to overcome difficulties in the context of limited resources. Multimedia information products under the Tin Tuc brand have become increasingly mature and influential. It can be affirmed that solidarity, creativity and determination have created the strength and brand of Tin Tuc newspaper.
Praising the efforts of the Tin Tuc newspaper staff, General Director Vu Viet Trang affirmed that through each restructuring or facing difficulties, Tin Tuc journalists have become more mature; continuing to affirm their reputation with articles and information that are certain, authentic and accurate. General Director Vu Viet Trang hopes that, in the new development period, facing opportunities and challenges, in which difficulties outweigh advantages, the Tin Tuc newspaper staff will continue to promote tradition, constantly update knowledge of modern journalism, and continue to focus on improving the political and professional capacity of the press team. Improving the quality of information and improving the way information is presented, in line with the development trend of modern journalism, both meeting the needs of readers and remaining the mainstream of information in the national press, is a vital requirement not only for Tin Tuc newspaper but also for the entire VNA press team.
Also at the ceremony, to express gratitude for the contributions of previous generations, the Editorial Board of Tin Tuc newspaper awarded commemorative medals to former leaders of Tin Tuc newspaper through the ages.
Exactly 40 years ago, on May 14, 1983, Tuan Tin Tuc (the predecessor of today's Tin Tuc newspaper) published its first issue, marking a change for VNA in meeting readers' information needs, bringing a breath of fresh air, helping the press agency gradually escape the subsidy mechanism. As soon as it was born, Tuan Tin Tuc with its cadres and reporters carrying the pioneering spirit discovered and encouraged new factors and new models; at the same time, directly attacked the negative evils hidden deep in the subsidy bureaucracy mechanism. Tuan Tin Tuc newspaper contributed a voice, a positive perspective and a responsible attitude to the cause of innovation initiated and led by our Party.
Also carrying the spirit of innovation, Tin Tuc Buoi Chieu newspaper, published since 1991, was the first newspaper in our country to be published every afternoon, aiming to fill the information gap that occurred from 0:00 to 12:00. The first issue was published just a few days before the opening of the 7th National Party Congress, Tin Tuc Buoi Chieu quickly took action, comprehensively and diversely reflecting the country's major political events, causing a stir in the press forum at that time.
During the development process, Tin Tuc newspaper has continuously made many improvements to meet the increasing needs of readers, including participating in newspaper distribution programs to disadvantaged areas, contributing to eliminating information "depression" areas, improving people's knowledge, and promoting socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
An important milestone of Tin Tuc newspaper was on September 14, 2009, when the Prime Minister issued Directive 1441/CT-TTg on enhancing the role of VNA in the new situation, especially assessing the importance of Tin Tuc newspaper and emphasizing the wide distribution of Tin Tuc newspaper with the function of a Government information channel.
In recent years, in line with the general trend of the times, Tin Tuc newspaper has made a strong transformation in developing multimedia information forms. Many columns, special pages, and multimedia genres have been implemented on Tin Tuc electronic newspaper with many creative, innovative, and reader-attracting features such as Megastory, 360 photos, Graphics, Video, TV News, etc. The "Perspective" column is where writers trained and developed by the Editorial Board have regularly released sharp journalistic works, in-depth analysis, and tight arguments, directly addressing current issues in the country and the world, with the value of leading and orienting public opinion, refuting false arguments, demonstrating the role of the official information channel, contributing to consolidating the mainstream position of a national news agency.
Information on Tin Tuc newspaper always ensures high orientation, responsiveness, attractiveness, worthy of its position as a political information channel, serving the leadership and direction of the Party, the State and the interests of the People. Many series of commentary articles and reports carefully organized by Tin Tuc newspaper have won awards at the Vietnam News Agency Press Awards, the National Press Awards, the Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards, the National Foreign Information Awards, etc.
With its achievements, Tin Tuc newspaper has been awarded many noble emulation titles by the Party and State such as the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals, many Emulation Flags of the Government and many Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit from VNA, ministries and branches...
