MB reported that the fate of young midfielder Gavi at Barca has changed in just a few weeks. From being on the transfer list, Hansi Flick decided that Gavi is now 'untouchable', an important part of his squad.

Gavi's name has been mentioned this summer and Barca have not ruled out selling him if they receive an offer of over 80 million euros.
The decision was not due to Gavi's ability, but because the 21-year-old star's position was already filled by many other teammates. Several European giants were eyeing Gavi after learning that President Joan Laporta was considering selling his star.
However, Gavi made Hansi Flick and Barca 'turn around' right during Barca's Asian tour, where he showed great form and an impeccable spirit.
In addition to contributing 3 goals, 1 in Barca's 7-3 Seoul match and most recently a double in the team's 5-star victory over Daegu, Gavi also showed his connection on the field as well as 'inspiring' the whole team.

Hansi Flick himself had to exclaim: “What I saw from Gavi is exactly what I wanted to see. He is like a leader, motivating the whole team to move forward. Gavi is at a very high level.”
Not only during competition, but also during training sessions, Gavi showed his determination and desire to win.
The club's news 'leaked' to MB, Gavi is no longer for sale by Barca and he is currently in the 'untouchable' group of players. Coach Hansi Flick highly appreciates Gavi, considering him a complete midfielder.
The German captain even compared Gavi to Joshua Kimmich for his ability to adapt to many different positions, his abundant energy and his intelligent tactical thinking.
