Real estate puts pressure, VN-Index recovers thanks to banks

NDO - On May 15, the market increased sharply right from the opening session, but then selling pressure on blue-chip stocks caused the main index to fluctuate and end the morning session in red. In the afternoon session, demand returned with active cash flow, helping the VN-Index recover. Notably, the two pillars of banking and real estate traded in opposite directions. At the end of the session, the VN-Index increased by 3.47 points to 1,313.2 points.

In this session, stocks: VPL, LPB, ACB, MBB, SHB , SSB, STB, VNM, VIB, MSB had the most positive impact on the VN-Index with an increase of more than 7.57 points. On the contrary, stocks: VHM, FPT, BCM, VRE, VJC, GEX, PNJ, BSR, HAG, VPI were sold heavily and took away more than 4.05 points from the VN-Index.

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session increased sharply compared to the previous session, reaching more than VND 24,460.75 billion.

Foreign investors net bought approximately VND919 billion on the HoSE. On the buying side, MBB shares were bought the most with a value of more than VND554 billion, followed by SHB (VND295 billion), FPT (VND159 billion), MWG (VND155 billion)... On the contrary, VHM was sold the most (VND635 billion), followed by VRE (VND238 billion), GEX (VND98 billion), TCH (VND53 billion)...

Today's session, the VN30 group of stocks closed with 18 stocks increasing, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 8 stocks decreasing.

Of which, SHB increased the most with an increase of 5.38% to 13,700 VND/share, followed by LPB increasing by 3.78% to 37,050 VND/share, ACB increasing by 3.02% to 25,550 VND/share, SSB increasing by 2.92%, MBB increasing by 2.24%, VIB increasing by 2.18%, STB increasing by 1.75%, SAB increasing by 1.62%, VNM increasing by 1.07%.

Codes: BVH, CTG, GAS, GVR, HDB, MSN, MWG, TCB, VPB increased slightly.

Four codes stopped at reference, including: HPG, SSI, VCB, VIC.

On the other hand, VHM decreased the most, losing 3.97% to VND58,000/share, followed by BCM decreasing 2.4% to VND61,000/share, VRE decreasing 2.23%, VJC decreasing 2.15%, FPT decreasing 1.03%.

The remaining codes: BID, PLX, TPB decreased slightly.

In terms of industry groups, steel stocks closed in the green, with HSG up 2.9% to VND15,950/share, SMC up 1.94%, DTL, NKG, TLH up slightly, HPG stopped at reference. On the contrary, HMC down 1.63%, VCA down slightly.

The group of securities stocks closed the session up 0.67%. In addition to the above-mentioned SSI, VIX increased by 1.95%, TCI increased by 1.6%, HCM increased by 1.14%, TVS increased by 1.13%, AGR, BSI, FTS, ORS, TVB, VCI, VDS, VND increased slightly, APG, CTS, DSE, SSI stopped at reference. On the contrary, DSC decreased slightly.

Banking stocks traded quite positively, being the main support of the market when closing up 1%. In addition to the codes ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, other codes such as: EIB decreased slightly, MSB increased 3.9%, OCB, NAB increased slightly.

On the contrary, the real estate group closed down 1.3% due to pressure from pillar codes such as: VHM, VRE, BCM. Other codes such as: KBC decreased by 1.54%, LDG decreased by 2.36%, LHG decreased by 1.81%, NVL decreased by 1.22%, SJS decreased by 1.95%, TCH decreased by 1.94%, TN1 decreased by 5.83%, VPI decreased by 2.62%. On the contrary, some codes still increased well such as: CCL increased by ceiling price, LGL increased by 5.11%, TDH increased by 5.52%, VSI increased by 5.82%.

Other stock sectors such as: consumer services increased by 6.58%, production materials increased by 1.02%, insurance, raw materials, telecommunications, food, beverages and tobacco, increased slightly.

On the other hand, transportation, distribution and retail of durable goods, consumer goods and decoration, utilities, software, and energy decreased slightly.

* The Vietnamese stock market index increased sharply in the afternoon session today, VNXALL-Index closed up 9.03 points (+0.42%), to 2,170.04 points. Liquidity in the whole market, with trading volume reaching 1.137 billion units, equivalent to trading value reaching 25,915.16 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 194 stocks increasing in price, 74 stocks remaining unchanged and 193 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 219.28 points, up 0.4 points (+0.18%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 79.70 million units transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND 1,194.75 billion. The entire floor had 71 stocks increasing, 58 stocks remaining unchanged and 88 stocks decreasing.

The HNX30 index closed up 0.40 points (+0.09%) at 439.70 points. Trading volume reached over 48.74 million units, with a corresponding value of over VND894,384 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 13 stocks increasing, 5 stocks remaining unchanged and 12 stocks decreasing.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index increased, closing at 95.74 points, up 0.85 points (+0.90%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 53.79 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 637,979 billion VND. The UPCoM group of stocks ended the trading day with 146 stocks increasing, 115 stocks remaining unchanged and 96 stocks decreasing.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 3.47 points (+0.26%) to 1,313.2 points. Liquidity reached over 1.109 billion units, equivalent to a trading value of VND25,646.50 billion. The entire floor had 167 stocks increasing, 50 stocks remaining unchanged and 152 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index increased by 3.62 points (+0.25%) to 1,401.49 points. Liquidity reached more than 578.62 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND15,655.58 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 18 stocks increasing, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 8 stocks decreasing.

The five stocks with the highest trading volume were SHB (over 167.91 million units), MBB (over 69.08 million units), VIX (over 47.91 million units), ACB (over 24.64 million units), CII (over 21.96 million units).

The five stocks with the highest price increase were BCG (6.99%), VNE (6.98%), VPL (6.89%), CCL (6.85%), TCD (6.77%).

The five stocks with the biggest price declines were CCC (-6.99%), BTT (-6.95%), HRC (-6.60%), SMA (-6.52%), SFC (-6.36%).

* Today's derivatives market had 209,141 contracts traded, worth VND 29,153.80 billion.
