Performance of the play "Against the current of peace" on the occasion of the People's Public Security Traditional Day

The organizers said the play will be performed at 8:00 p.m. on May 21, 2025 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace, Hanoi .

The event is expected to be attended by more than 1,000 delegates, including leaders of the Ministry of Public Security , representatives of leaders of units under the Ministry of Public Security and local police; representatives of agencies participating in fire prevention and fighting and rescue work under the Ministry of National Defense; representatives of central ministries, branches, and Hanoi city; representatives of organizations and forces participating in building the movement of Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue for All People; press and television agencies and the masses.

The play “Against the direction of peace” was composed by author Thien An and directed by Meritorious Artist Kieu Minh Hieu. The work was inspired by a true story, vividly and emotionally reflecting the images of fire prevention, firefighting and rescue police officers - brave people who “go against the direction of peace” to rush into dangerous places, fight for life in the sea of ​​fire, bringing safety to the people.

The play realistically depicts the image of firefighters: They are not superheroes, but flesh and blood people, who also have to face the difficulties of life, the very ordinary concerns, but above all are courage, sacrifice and the noble ideal of service. Behind every silent battle are sweat, tears and even blood - paid for with their own lives to keep the word "peace" for the community.

Co-organized by the Vietnam Fire Prevention and Rescue Association - an agency that accompanies the fire prevention and rescue police force in building the National Fire Prevention and Rescue Movement, the play expresses the deep gratitude from the community and the whole society for the fire prevention and rescue police officers. They are "heroes" in everyday life, without the need for glory but still shining in the hearts of the people with their courage and dedication.

The play also shows the gratitude of the artists and actors to the firefighters. For the artists and actors, this is not only a role but also a responsibility, attitude, and voice of the artist in the face of the hardships and dangers that firefighters and rescuers have to face every day.

The program is not only an artistic event, but also has profound political and social significance, a tribute to the people's police force in general, and the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police force in particular. This is also an opportunity to spread the noble, brave and humane image of the people's police soldiers, especially the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police force - the silent heroes in peacetime, for the peace of the community and the sustainable development of society.
