Arrested 2 department officials for falsifying documents in the field of vehicle registration in Ca Mau

On November 10, according to VietNamNet 's private source, the Investigation Police Agency of Ca Mau Province Police has just executed a search warrant on the residence and workplace and temporarily detained 3 suspects in the case of forging seals and documents of agencies and organizations and using fake seals and documents of agencies and organizations, which occurred in the field of vehicle registration in this province.

Accordingly, the three suspects were temporarily detained, including: Dang Van Thanh (42 years old, officer of the Department of Transport of Ca Mau province); Nguyen Thanh Nhan (33 years old, officer of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ca Mau province) and Nguyen Van Phuong (49 years old, Director of Thien Thanh Trading and Service Company Limited).

According to the initial investigation, receiving requests from owners of vehicles that did not meet the requirements for vehicle inspection, the three suspects made fake documents to legalize the records when taking the vehicles for inspection, thereby illegally profiting from 10 - 15 million VND/set of inspection documents.

Previously, on July 4, the Investigation Police Agency issued a decision to prosecute the case of forging seals and documents of organizations and using fake seals and documents of organizations occurring in the field of vehicle registration in Ca Mau province.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency continues to investigate and clarify the case.

Chief Inspector of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ca Mau province Tang Gia Phong was temporarily detained, allegedly related to violations in bank loans while at his former agency.
