Arrest of young man for rape in Huong Hoa district

This morning, June 5, information from the Criminal Police Department of Quang Tri Province Police said that the unit had executed an emergency detention order against an HVC (born in 1999) residing in Huong Loc Commune, Huong Hoa District for rape.

Previously, on the afternoon of June 3, Ms. HTH (born in 1999), residing in Lia commune (Huong Hoa district), while working in the fields, was controlled by a young man with a machete and had sexual intercourse with her. At about 1:15 p.m. on June 4, the Criminal Police Department received a report from Lia commune police about the above incident and urgently coordinated with the Working Group of Region 3 and the police of Thanh, Lia, Thuan, Huong Loc, Tan Lap communes (Huong Hoa district) to organize an investigation and prosecution.

After more than 3 hours since receiving the report, at about 4:15 p.m. on June 4, the authorities identified the suspect as HVC. Through the struggle, suspect C. admitted his crime.

Currently, the case is being further investigated and handled by the authorities.
