This morning, June 6, Huong Hoa district coordinated with Economic - Defense Group 337 to organize a memorial service and burial of 10 martyrs' remains recently found in the district.

These 10 martyrs' remains were searched and collected by the Martyrs' Remains Search Team, Economic-Defense Group 337, in A Soc Cah Ly village, Huong Lap commune (2 remains) and A Re village, Huong Tan commune (8 remains).

In Huong Lap commune, based on information provided by Mr. Ho Van Thoa, there were many signs of suspected burial sites for martyrs in A Soc Cah Ly village. From April 15 to June 5, the Martyrs' Remains Search and Collection Team searched for and recovered the martyrs and brought them to the Huong Hoa District Spiritual Cultural Area.

In Xa Re village, Huong Tan commune, the remains of martyrs were found lying about 1 meter underground, with broken leg bones, many teeth and relics such as shirts, hats, mirrors, combs, wallets, parachute cords, AK bullets, K54 bullets... Xa Re was the fighting area of ​​units of Division 304, Corps 2 during the years of resistance war against America to save the country.

At the memorial service, delegates expressed their respect and deep gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, bringing peace and a prosperous life to the people. After that, the remains of the martyrs were brought to rest at the Huong Hoa District Martyrs Cemetery.

Currently, the Martyrs' Remains Search Team continues to expand the search area.
