Suspect arrested for illegal drug trafficking.

The Drug Crime Investigation Department of the Provincial Police has just initiated legal proceedings and issued a temporary detention order against an individual for illegally buying and selling narcotics; simultaneously, they are continuing to expand the investigation to prosecute other individuals in accordance with the law.

The person arrested is Nguyen Thai Chon (born in 1987), residing in Tan Tien commune, Dak Lak province.

Authorities are working with Nguyen Thai Chon.

Earlier, at 9 PM on November 30th, while on duty at Km 123+600 in Phuoc An 6 village (Krong Pac commune), a patrol team from the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police discovered a man and woman on a motorbike acting suspiciously. When asked to stop, the driver attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended.

Upon searching the suspect, authorities seized a plastic bag and over 80 plastic tubes, all containing methamphetamine, along with some drug paraphernalia.

At the police station, the suspect identified himself as Nguyen Thai Chon; the person sitting behind him was Chon's girlfriend. Chon admitted to buying the drugs for nearly 32 million VND for personal use and resale. A quick drug test revealed that both tested positive for narcotics.

It is known that Nguyen Thai Chon previously had three convictions for "intentionally causing injury".
