Closing Ceremony of the 2025 National Petanque Team Championship: Awarding 7 sets of medals to the high-achieving teams

STO - On the afternoon of May 23, at the Soc Trang Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, the 2025 National Petanque Team Championship officially closed after 7 days of exciting, fierce and attractive competition. Attending and presenting the awards were comrades: Lam Thanh Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Soc Trang; Doan Tuan Anh - Head of Petanque Department (Department of Physical Education and Sports); leaders of the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center.

At the end of the matches, the Organizing Committee awarded 7 sets of medals to the teams with high achievements. In the men's and women's technical team event, the Dong Thap team performed excellently, surpassing their opponents in the final match to win the championship, the Nghe An team ranked second, the Quang Binh and Dong Nai teams won bronze medals. In the women's technical team event, the championship was awarded to the Hanoi team, the silver medal was awarded to the Tra Vinh team, the Binh Duong and Vinh Long teams won bronze medals. In the men's technical team event, the championship was awarded to the Ba Ria - Vung Tau team, the silver medal was awarded to the Binh Duong team, and 2 bronze medals were awarded to the Da Nang and Bac Lieu teams.

Meanwhile, in the men's team event, the Army team excelled in defeating their opponents to win the championship, with Vinh Long team coming in second, and Hanoi and Tra Vinh teams coming in third. In the women's team event, the female players of Tra Vinh team competed with great courage and evenness, defeating Hau Giang team in the gold medal match to win the championship, while Soc Trang and Binh Duong teams won bronze medals. In the 2 men's - 1 woman's combination event, the Army team continued to assert their position by defeating their opponents to win the championship, with Thanh Hoa team winning silver medals, and Hanoi and Dong Thap teams winning bronze medals. In the 2 women's - 1 man combination event, the host team Soc Trang excelled in winning the gold medal after a convincing victory over Vinh Long team in the final; 2 bronze medals went to Hau Giang and Binh Duong teams.

The 2025 National Petanque Team Championship ended with many positive professional marks, contributing to discovering and nurturing young talents for the national team, towards the SEA Games and upcoming major tournaments.
