After two days of vibrant and diverse cultural activities, the 2024 Folk Arts Festival - Highland Market concluded on the evening of March 24th with a closing ceremony and awards presentation in Quan Hoa district.

The 2024 Folk Arts Festival - Highland Market Fair, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Quan Hoa District, opened on the evening of March 23rd, with the participation of approximately 300 performers and artisans from 10 mountainous districts of the province. The festival program included competitions in folk art performances, traditional costume displays, a Highland Market Fair space, and traditional culinary culture, attracting a large number of locals and tourists to watch and cheer.

The closing ceremony and awards presentation of the festival were attended by leaders from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Quan Hoa district, along with a large number of local people and tourists from all over.

According to the organizers, the folk art performances at this festival were quite rich, diverse, and full of cultural identity, elaborately staged, with content close to the lives of the ethnic minorities in the highlands, praising the spirit of labor, love of life, and love between couples.

The vibrant sounds and images, from the Hmong people's bamboo flute and mouth harp; the courtship songs, Xoe dance, and Khap dance of the Thai people; the Xuong dance of the Muong people; the bowl dance and bell dance of the Dao ethnic group; to the brocade costumes... all contributed to a colorful folk culture festival in Quan Hoa district.

The highlight that attracted both locals and tourists to this festival was the activities at the Highland Market. Participating districts showcased and introduced the unique characteristics of their localities through distinctive artifacts and products bearing cultural imprints, attracting a large number of locals and tourists to visit and shop.

The leaders of Quan Hoa district presented awards to the winning units for the Highland Market Space competition.

The participating groups also showcased and introduced many unique and traditional dishes from each ethnic group. The presentation combined traditional and modern elements, reflecting the past and present life in each locality. The organizing committee judged the meals prepared by the participating districts.
