Bechamp Dak Nong Organic Agricultural Cooperative is one of the pioneers of Dak Song District (Dak Nong) in bringing organic and safe agricultural products to consumers and restoring a clean environment for the community. Organic products such as coffee, pepper, turmeric powder, honey, wild bananas, etc. of the cooperative are widely favored by customers.

Bechamp Dak Nong Organic Agricultural Cooperative was established on May 23, 2021 with the desire to convey good values through organic agricultural products. At the same time, helping farmers have the best farming methods, reducing input costs and increasing crop yields. Bechamp is named after a French scientist who has made many contributions to organic agriculture through the principle of sugar inversion to balance the ecosystem, isolating and cultivating some strains of beneficial bacteria.

Mr. Le Dinh Hung - Director of Bechamp Dak Nong Organic Agricultural Cooperative

Mr. Le Dinh Hung, director of Bechamp Dak Nong organic agricultural cooperative, shared: "Traditional farming methods affect the health of farmers themselves. That is why I am struggling to find a new direction of clean agricultural production."

According to Mr. Le Dinh Hung, organic farming will not use pesticides or chemicals. This helps reduce environmental pollution, increase animal reproduction and consume less energy. Organic farming also helps improve soil quality, prevent erosion and conserve groundwater.

Mr. Ha Cong Xa, founding member and advisor on organizing cooperative activities, said: "Mobilizing farmers to join cooperatives, produce safe organic products, link up and cooperate into economic organizations, change small-scale thinking, and the habit of using chemicals that is ingrained in farmers' thinking is easy to say but difficult to do."

However, understanding the vicious cycle of farmers having to chase output, using too much inorganic fertilizer, making the land hard and lacking in nutrients, Mr. Xa sought partners to join hands to build the Bechamp Dak Nong Organic Agricultural Cooperative. According to Mr. Xa, the Cooperative wishes to produce organic agricultural products according to international standards.

Mr. Ha Cong Xa said that the 6 principles of operating organic microbial gardens that the cooperative strictly adheres to include: Using beneficial microorganisms and animal and plant residues; Not using pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers; Farmers are self-sufficient, cultivating beneficial microorganisms to serve production, using microorganisms to produce fungicides and pesticides; Encouraging farmers to plant multi-storey trees to balance the ecosystem, limit the disruption of the natural structure of the soil; Strictly controlling the process from harvesting to processing and preserving coffee; Reducing input costs, ensuring consistent product quality.

From there, it brings high profits and saves a lot of costs" , Mr. Vo Quoc Tuan said.
