Specialist II Doctor Nguyen Huu Phuoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, announced the Decision to recognize Tra Vinh General Hospital as a Grade I hospital.

At the ceremony, Specialist Doctor II Nguyen Huu Phuoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, announced Decision No. 1568/QD-UBND, dated October 19, 2023 on recognizing the Grade I ranking for Tra Vinh General Hospital, valid for 05 years from the date of signing the Decision.

Specialist II Doctor Huynh Huu Nhan, Deputy Director of Tra Vinh General Hospital said: Tra Vinh Provincial General Hospital was established in December 1992, with a scale of 400 beds, is a grade II provincial hospital, in 2005 it was increased to 500 beds, in 2017 it was increased to 600 beds. By April 2023, the hospital moved to a new facility (Ward 7), by August 2023 the hospital was increased to 900 beds.

In terms of facilities and human resources, up to now, the hospital has 08 specialized departments, 19 clinical departments, 06 paraclinical departments, a team of 742 doctors (214 doctors). Medical equipment is fully invested in quantity and quality, developing specialized departments and advanced techniques... In particular, with professional support from upper-level hospitals, such as: Cho Ray Hospital, Gia Dinh People's Hospital... from which the quality of medical examination and treatment is increasingly improved; ensuring the requirements of grade I hospital standards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Binh congratulated and acknowledged the collective efforts of the leaders, medical staff, doctors and employees of the Hospital in improving the quality of medical examination and treatment services, fulfilling the task of taking care of people's health.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Quynh Thien awarded certificates of merit to individuals with many achievements in participating in training and technology transfer under Project 1816 for Tra Vinh General Hospital.

On this occasion, the leaders of Cho Ray Hospital held a closing ceremony and awarded training certificates to 41 doctors and nurses who completed the basic dialysis course.

At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 01 collective and 18 individuals with many achievements in participating in training and technology transfer under Project 1816 for Tra Vinh General Hospital.
