Tragedy: Coach dies while in charge of Serbian national championship

Mladen Zizovic collapsed in the 22nd minute of the match between Radnicki 1923 and Mladost in the Serbian championship on Sunday night. Medical staff immediately arrived at the scene and took him to the hospital. The match was immediately stopped. While Zizovic was on his way to the hospital, things returned to normal. The assistant replaced Mladen Zizovic as coach.

However, just 20 minutes later, the sad news came back. The medical team confirmed that he had passed away. Upon hearing this news, the coaching staff and players of both teams burst into tears on the field. The referee also announced the immediate cancellation of the match.

“We are deeply saddened and in disbelief to hear that FK Radnicki coach Mladen Zizovic passed away suddenly during the match between Mladost and Radnicki,” the Serbian Football Federation said in a statement.

Players from both teams collapsed upon hearing the news of Mr. Zizovic's death.

Other teams in the Serbian Super League also sent their condolences to FK Radnicki and the family of Mladen Zizovic.
