The live-action How to Train Your Dragon easily surpassed 2019's How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World , which opened with $55 million. The latest installment has earned more than $114.1 million worldwide, bringing its global total to $197.8 million.

In Vietnam, How to Train Your Dragon is currently leading the box office revenue last weekend, according to Box Office Vietnam. Specifically, as of the morning of June 16, the film has reached 21 billion VND since its release on June 13. However, overall, the film is still far behind the two animated films Doraemon: Nobita and the Adventures in the Picture World (154 billion VND, released on May 23) and Lilo & Stitch (32 billion VND, released on May 23).
