On the morning of July 16, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the high school graduation exam scores for 2025. According to data released by the Ministry of Education and Training, Nguyen Thai An, a 12B1 student at Kim Son A High School ( Ninh Binh province), is the valedictorian of block A00.
Thai An got perfect scores in Math 10, Physics 10, Chemistry 10, total 30 points in combination A00.
“I just woke up and my mom told me the results were out. When I checked, I was so surprised that I couldn’t believe it. I felt quite confident in the last exam and did well, but I wasn’t sure I would get three 10s. When I got the results, I was extremely happy,” Thai An said excitedly.
Thai An shared that to get this result, he chose to learn solid knowledge right in class, combining extra lessons with teachers and online learning if he felt it was appropriate to consolidate his knowledge.
In the days leading up to the exam, I practiced a lot to get used to the time pressure. But the closer the real exam day got, the more I “slowed down”.
“I don’t study by cramming. Each stage has its own way of studying. Some days I feel tired, so I take a break to relax my mind and then continue studying the next day. The most important thing is to know where I am weak so I can improve.
Because I have mastered the knowledge, I usually study until 11pm at night to ensure my health. Near the exam date, I do not solve any more problems, nor do I study new lessons, but I go back and study the ones I did wrong to remember how to do them. When I enter the exam room, I stay calm to do the test," Thai An confided.

Throughout his 12 years of study, Thai An has always achieved the title of excellent student.
In grade 10, Thai An won second prize in the provincial "Conquer English" contest, maintaining this achievement for 2 consecutive years. In grade 12, Thai An joined the provincial Chemistry team for the 2024-2025 school year and won an encouragement prize.
Not only excelling in the A block exam, Thai An also impressed by possessing an international language certificate IELTS 8.0 and a competency assessment test score of 123/150 from Hanoi National University.
Upon receiving the news that his student was the national valedictorian, Mr. Dinh Cao Thuong, homeroom teacher and Math teacher of class 12B1 at Kim Son A High School, could not hide his emotion: “Thai An is a very good student, self-studying and progressive. Today's achievement is a completely deserved reward. Teachers and friends are all very proud of him.”
Mr. Thuong added that Thai An is the class's deputy and is good at all subjects. During his studies, he actively participates in school activities. Three years ago, Thai An was also the valedictorian of Kim Son A High School.
With the top result of block A00 nationwide this year, Thai An said he plans to register for Pharmacy at Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
