Promote the application of new technology in production

Born and raised in Kien Khe town (now La Mat residential group, Chau Son ward), which has a long tradition of limestone production, Mr. Long soon nurtured the will to get rich from the traditional profession on his homeland. Sharing about the process of building and developing his family's production facility, Mr. Nguyen Van Long said that his family used to have a profession of producing and processing lime powder to provide services for agriculture and construction. In previous years, production was basically based on old technology on a small scale, so the output was not high and it required a lot of labor. In 2015, after researching, understanding the market and learning from many places, Nguyen Van Long decided to invest in expanding the production workshop with a system of new, modern, synchronous machinery and technology, in order to reduce costs and labor in production labor.

Modern screening, crushing and bagging machine systems have been invested and put into use, contributing to increasing output and expanding product consumption markets.

Mr. Nguyen Van Long said that the process of converting and expanding production also encountered certain difficulties such as: large investment capital; the use of new technological equipment and machinery requires time to train workers to meet the requirements... Along with training and coaching, Mr. Long always focuses on ensuring occupational safety and hygiene, associated with environmental protection and protecting the health of workers.

Overcoming the difficult period during the transition, the production facility's operations gradually stabilized and developed. During the process of developing production and business, he always kept in mind that "prestige and quality" must be put first, therefore, the products produced by his family and supplied to the market and to consumers always ensure good quality. The product consumption market is increasingly expanding both domestically and internationally. The profits earned each year are higher than the previous year. Currently, Mr. Long's family production facility has created regular jobs for 25 - 40 workers, with an average salary of 8 - 15 million VND/person/month.

While expanding the lime powder production facility, Mr. Long also cooperated with his brothers to build a comprehensive farm, applying science and technology in livestock and crop breeding to bring value as well as increase income for the family.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bac, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Chau Son Ward, said: Comrade Nguyen Van Long is an exemplary Party Secretary, an active, enthusiastic farmer member, responsible in all activities of the association. He is a typical farmer in the emulation movement "Good farmers in production and business" and has made practical contributions to the association as well as in the community.

With his successes in production and business, Mr. Long is willing to support, share production experience, apply scientific and technical advances to neighboring households, to develop the economy together, improve living standards, help people escape poverty, and build a prosperous life. Up to now, he has consulted, exchanged experiences, and supported about 10 households in production and business techniques, capital, and materials; creating jobs for over 40 workers.

Mr. Nguyen Van Long said: To have the results like today, in addition to his own efforts, he always has the support of his family, friends, relatives and the attention of local authorities and Farmers' Associations at all levels, which have created favorable conditions for his family's production facility to develop more and more.

Contribute to building a united and innovative residential area.

Not only is he a typical example of good production and business, Mr. Nguyen Van Long is also an exemplary residential area leader, actively contributing to the construction of a renewed homeland. La Mat residential area has a total of 600 households, of which 90% are Catholics. As the Head of the Residential Group since 2019, by early 2025, comrade Nguyen Van Long continued to be trusted by the local Party Committee and elected by the people as Party Cell Secretary and Head of the Residential Group. As the head of the residential area, Mr. Long always kept in mind the need to do a good job of gathering and uniting the people; promoting the strength of the people in local movements, contributing to the construction of a renewed homeland.

Mr. Nguyen Van Long and his family have always been exemplary in leading movements and activities in the locality; propagating and mobilizing people to strictly comply with the policies and laws of the Party and State, actively competing in labor production, and building innovative residential areas.

In social and charitable movements and activities, from 2020 to now, Mr. Long and the local Front Committee have promoted and mobilized people to contribute money and labor to build many local welfare projects such as: building village wharves, welcome gates, renovating and upgrading cultural houses... with a budget of over 1 billion VND. In particular, in 2024, he promoted and mobilized union members and people to contribute and support funds and labor days to build a house of gratitude for Ms. Duong Thi Han - a poor household with a total value of 250 million VND. His family alone, from 2015 to now, has contributed over 200 million VND to local movements and activities.

The road in the neighborhood was expanded by Mr. Nguyen Van Long mobilizing people to donate land.

In the construction of residential areas, Mr. Long has regularly mobilized people and parishioners to "Live a good life, practice good religion", to love each other, to join hands in the movements: "All people unite to build a cultural life", "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "All people protect national security"; to well implement the conventions in residential areas..., contributing to environmental protection, building advanced new rural areas, civilized urban areas. Contributing to the movement to build new rural areas in the locality, in addition to his own and his family's active contributions, comrade Long also mobilized 5 households to donate land to move the wall to build a traffic road with an area of 250 m2.

Mr. Chu Van My, La Mat residential group, Chau Son ward said: Comrade Long is a young, dynamic cadre, very enthusiastic about the local movement, and is trusted and supported by the people. With his enthusiasm, responsibility, and exemplary role, over the years, he has brought the local movements to develop more and more; the infrastructure system and public works have been invested in, upgraded, and renovated, and people's lives have been increasingly improved and enhanced. With his example and responsibility, my family also donated land to move the wall nearly 1 meter with a length of over 20 meters to widen the traffic road, helping to make the road clear, and the people in the residential group are very excited and confident.

In addition, comrade Nguyen Van Long also regularly coordinates with the Priest and the Board of Directors of La Mat parish to propagate and mobilize parishioners to strictly comply with the policies and laws of the Party, State and locality; build a model of "Parish and parishioners participating in the task of fire prevention and fighting". Therefore, for many years in a row, La Mat residential area has not had any complicated problems regarding political security, social order in the area has always been stable and maintained ...

With his achievements, Mr. Nguyen Van Long was awarded many certificates of merit by all levels and sectors. In particular, in the years 2017 and 2023, Mr. Long was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province (old) for his outstanding achievements in the movement of good farmers in production and business... In 2025, the Provincial Farmers' Association proposed the Central Farmers' Association to commend and honor him as an Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer.
