The luxury car market is booming with a series of great deals.

Entering the fourth quarter, the Vietnamese automotive market witnessed a significant price reduction, particularly in the luxury car segment. Many major brands did not hesitate to implement deep discount programs, with reductions reaching billions of VND, in order to clear inventory and stimulate year-end shopping, creating attractive opportunities for consumers.

Mercedes-Benz leads the way with price reductions exceeding one billion VND.

Mercedes-Benz Vietnam and its dealerships are aggressively reducing prices on high-performance models. Most notably, the Mercedes-AMG SL 43 convertible roadster has seen its price drop from VND 6.959 billion to VND 4.893 billion. Another high-performance model, the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC, has also had its price reduced by VND 400 million, bringing the actual selling price down to VND 1.799 billion.

According to sales consultants, this program aims to clear out remaining inventory of 2023 model year vehicles. The number and color options are limited and depend on availability at each dealership. Despite the significant discounts, these models still face challenges due to the relatively niche market for sports cars in Vietnam.

Volkswagen is offering discounts across its entire range of SUVs and MPVs.

The German car brand Volkswagen is also joining the price reduction race. The 2024 Viloran MPV model receives a direct discount of 100 million VND, along with an accessories package and maintenance voucher worth 68 million VND. The 7-seater Teramont SUV receives a 200 million VND cash discount, bringing the selling price down to 1.788 billion VND.

The premium Touareg SUV line also has attractive discounts. The Elegance version is reduced by 331 million VND, now priced at 2.368 billion VND, while the Luxury version is reduced from 3.099 billion VND to 2.768 billion VND. Other versions also receive gifts such as accessories or maintenance packages from the manufacturer.

Jeep draws attention with unprecedented price reductions.

The American off-road vehicle brand Jeep is also offering significant discounts at dealerships. The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, which has a list price of over 4 billion VND, is now being offered for only around 2.8 billion VND. The Wrangler Sahara version has also been reduced from 3.886 billion VND to 2.638 billion VND.

Notably, the large SUV Jeep Grand Cherokee L experienced the deepest price drop, from 5.68 billion VND to 3.488 billion VND. These promotions demonstrate increasingly fierce competition and are a familiar tactic used by manufacturers before the peak year-end shopping season.
