Secretary of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee: Resolve the regime for those who request to retire before June 25

(NLDO) - The Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee requested departments and branches to support and guide the new wards and communes to operate and to resolve the regime for those who request to retire.

On the morning of June 20, the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, term VII, 2020 - 2025, held the 25th conference to approve the socio -economic situation, national defense - security, Party building work in the first 6 months of 2025; summarize the inspection, supervision and discipline enforcement work in the Party for the term 2020-2025, and the implementation of the Working Regulations of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the term 2020-2025.

Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, said that in the first 6 months of 2025, many economic sectors of the province achieved positive results. The province has completed the target of eliminating poverty according to multidimensional standards, and has been recognized for completing the task of building new rural areas. However, GRDP (excluding oil and gas) is estimated at 7.5%, lower than expected; disbursement of public investment and budget revenue and expenditure are still slow.

Also at the conference, Mr. Duong Trong Hieu, Head of the Organizing Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, reported on the situation of personnel work, arrangement and assignment of cadres and civil servants after the administrative unit arrangement.

According to Mr. Duong Trong Hieu, the seals of 30 communes, wards and new special zones in the province have been fully prepared by the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police and will be handed over to the localities by June 30. The current seals will be used until June 30.

Immediately after the new commune, ward and special zone levels come into operation, preparations will be made for the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and the congress will be completed before August 30, 2025.

Mr. Hieu also informed that at exactly 8:00 a.m. on June 21, the new communes, wards, and special economic zones will be put into trial operation, and in the afternoon of the same day, the Public Administration Center at the commune, ward, and new special economic zone levels will be put into operation; by July 1, it will be officially put into operation.

Regarding the settlement of retirement and resignation cases, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee has so far received applications from 955 cases and will be considered before June 25.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Viet Thanh, Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, said that from July 1, 2025, the new Ho Chi Minh City and its administrative units at the commune, ward and special economic zones will officially operate under the post-reorganization model. This is an important step to streamline the apparatus, improve the effectiveness of state management, and meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable development of the special urban area.

Before the official operation, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee directed a comprehensive review of the remaining work or work that has not yet been processed according to the set program and plan. Provincial leaders requested that affiliated agencies and units proactively coordinate, share information and necessary data to ensure continuous and smooth work progress. In particular, the reception and processing of administrative records of people and businesses in the merged areas must be carried out flexibly, in accordance with regulations, and minimize disruption.

The Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee said that there are only 10 days left to complete many tasks and all departments and branches must focus on the grassroots level, guiding and removing obstacles for new communes and wards so that the apparatus can operate effectively with the motto "all for new communes and wards". We must pay attention to the team that continues to shoulder the tasks and at the same time, we must also pay attention and spend time to resolve policies for those who requested to retire before June 25.
