Provincial Party Secretary Bui Van Nghiem visits and presents gifts to meritorious people on the occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year

(VLO) On January 28, 2024, Comrade Bui Van Nghiem - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee led a working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province to visit and present gifts to people with revolutionary contributions, and congratulate and celebrate longevity for the elderly in Binh Tan district, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024.

Provincial Party Secretary Bui Van Nghiem and his delegation visited and presented gifts to Mr. Le Minh Duc (103 years old, Labor Hero) in My Thuan commune.

At each family visited, on behalf of the working delegation, comrade Bui Van Nghiem kindly inquired about the health and life of the elderly who had contributed to the revolution and retired cadres; at the same time visited, wished longevity, and celebrated longevity of the elderly. The provincial leaders hoped that those who had contributed to the revolution would always be shining examples of revolutionary ideals and fighting spirit for their descendants to follow in building and defending the Fatherland, making their homeland more prosperous and beautiful.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province organized 8 delegations to visit and present 200 gifts to people with revolutionary contributions in 8 districts - towns - cities. At the same time, a delegation was organized to visit and congratulate the longevity of 40 elderly people (5 people from each district), including longevity greeting cards and gifts fromthe President , longevity greeting cards and gifts from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Liet visited and presented gifts to retired cadres in Binh Tan district.

According to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, in addition to the gifts given by the provincial level, localities also gave gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and meritorious people on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin. District-level functional units coordinated to organize delegations to visit, give gifts, congratulate and celebrate the longevity of 847 people aged 100 and 90 years old.
