Notable developments that many investors are interested in are related to bank stocks and gold companies related to the State Bank's inspection conclusion on compliance with policies and laws in gold trading activities.
Shares of some gold companies and banks fluctuated in opposite directions in the first session of the week after the State Bank's inspection conclusion.
Accordingly, the State Bank Inspectorate announced 6 inspection conclusions at 4 gold companies including SJC, PNJ, DOJI , Bao Tin Minh Chau and 2 banks TPBank and Eximbank.
Shares of Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ) fell sharply, closing at VND78,200, down 5.21% from the previous session. During the session, the lowest recorded share price of the only gold company on the stock exchange was VND77,000 before recovering. Trading volume was approximately 3 million shares, the highest in the past 2 weeks.
TPB shares of Tien Phong Bank ( TPBank ) closed down 1.13% compared to the previous session, at VND13,100/share. Trading volume was more than 21.6 million shares, a sharp increase compared to previous days.
Notably, in contrast to PNJ and TPB, EIB shares increased and closed in the green at VND 23,300/share, up 2.64% compared to the previous session.
