Commendation of 71 exemplary grassroots union presidents

On the morning of July 21, the Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to honor exemplary grassroots union chairmen for the 2018-2023 period.

Attending the event were comrades: Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Tran Thanh Hai, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Over the years, trade unions at all levels in the province have always played the role of a bridge for workers to share the difficulties of businesses and negotiate with businesses to implement policies for workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, helping businesses develop sustainably.

At the conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor commended 71 outstanding grassroots union presidents, representing more than 1,200 grassroots union presidents in the province, who have made outstanding achievements in improving the quality of union activities; effectively promoting the role of representatives in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

Acknowledging the achievements of provincial trade unions at all levels, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Tran Thanh Hai emphasized: The legitimate rights of workers are well guaranteed thanks to the close supervision of each grassroots trade union official.

In order for union officials to fulfill their responsibilities well, union levels need to pay attention to grassroots union officials in a systematic and systematic way; focus on training skills, guiding and promptly supporting union officials to be proficient in organizing activities, having the skills to mobilize and solve new and difficult problems. In addition, it is necessary to protect and recognize the contributions of grassroots union officials.

To celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2023) and the Trade Union Congresses at all levels, towards the 15th Congress of Vinh Phuc Provincial Trade Union, the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2023-2028, the Provincial Labor Federation organized the awarding ceremony of the Video Clip Making Contest with the theme "I love the union home" for 29 participating units.

Also at the conference, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Tran Thanh Hai awarded the title of Emulation Fighter of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to comrade Trinh Thi Thoa, President of the Provincial Confederation of Labor and awarded the "For the cause of building the Trade Union organization" Medal to two trade union officials.
