Commending the collective and individuals who successfully broke up the case and seized 9 heroin cakes

On the morning of April 4, Lai Chau Provincial Police commended and rewarded groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in fighting drug cases, arresting two subjects, seizing 9 heroin cakes and one pink phien cake.

Standing Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Control of Lai Chau Province Tong Thanh Hai praised the results achieved in the project in particular and in the past 3 years, Lai Chau Police have dismantled many drug trafficking and trading lines with large quantities. The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the police force will continue to promote and gradually dismantle large drug trafficking lines. At the same time, continue to dismantle drug addiction and small-scale trading spots in the area... Through the process of reconnaissance and grasping the local situation, reconnaissance of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Lai Chau Provincial Police discovered a drug trafficking and illegal trading line from Son La province to Lai Chau province for consumption with large quantities. Lai Chau Provincial Police have established a project, mobilized forces and implemented concentrated measures to combat and dismantle the project.

Initially, the task force identified two subjects: Hang A Vu (born in 1973, residing in Keo Ot village, Chieng Sang commune, Muong La district, Son La province) and Mua Nu Sua (born in 1974, residing in Huoi Van village, Muong Gion commune, Quynh Nhai district, Son La). The task force directed the reconnaissance force to use concentrated measures to verify, track the movements and methods of operation of the two subjects Vu and Sua. Through the information collected, these two subjects often pretended to go bird trapping along National Highway 279D to Lai Chau area, showing many suspicious signs of connecting with the subjects here. After a period of monitoring this group of subjects, at 20:25 on April 3, at Km27, National Highway 279D, in the area of Doc village, Khoe On commune, Than Uyen district, the Special Task Force and the District Police successfully controlled and arrested 2 subjects Hang A Vu and Mua Nu Sua for illegal drug trafficking. At the scene, the authorities seized 9 heroin cakes (weighing 3,133.8 grams) and 1 pink phien cake (weighing 551.68 grams); 2 mobile phones, 2 motorbikes and objects and documents related to the case.

The Investigation Police Agency, Lai Chau Provincial Police, has decided to temporarily detain Hang A Vu and Mua Nu Sua to investigate the case; urgently consolidate documents and evidence to continue expanding the project and handle it according to the law. At the conference, Lai Chau Provincial Police commended and rewarded the collectives and individuals in the Project Board and Than Uyen District Police.
