Pa Tan Primary and Secondary Boarding School is built in Nam Sao 1 village on an area of 8 hectares, including 30 classrooms with 1,102 students (18 primary classes, 584 students; 12 secondary classes, 518 students), with a total estimated investment of about 200 billion VND. The project is expected to create favorable conditions for ethnic minority students to access modern education .
Bum Nua Primary and Secondary Boarding School is built on an area of 5.4 hectares in Na He village, Bum Nua commune. The project has a synchronous investment, including: a principal's office, 30 classrooms, subject classrooms, a dormitory, a kitchen, a dining room, a living area, a sports area, a teacher's office, a multi-purpose house, a swimming pool and other auxiliary items.
The project has a total estimated investment of about 200 billion VND. When completed, the school will meet the learning needs of about 1,000 students (out of a total need of 1,400 students), contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education for local ethnic minority students.

The two projects will be implemented in 2025. When put into use, they will not only supplement the province's educational facilities, but also demonstrate the attention of the Party, State, and Ministry of Public Security to the cause of education in border areas, contributing to improving the people's knowledge and quality of human resources, creating a source of local ethnic minority cadres. This is also a premise for replicating the model to other border communes in Lai Chau province.
Within the framework of the program, representatives of the Ministry of Public Security presented gifts from General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, to 10 policy households and 10 village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people in the two communes of Pa Tan and Bum Nua.
The Ministry of Public Security also presented gifts to the police of two communes; donated 20 desktop computers to two schools; presented 10,000 books, 500 uniforms, school bags and school supplies to students. Donated 100 million VND to each school's scholarship fund.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long visited and presented gifts to policy families, the Police and the Pa Tan Commune Health Station.
