Ministry of Public Security builds houses, supports 50 tons of goods for people in flood-hit areas of Gia Lai

The Ministry of Public Security started building houses for Gia Lai households that were destroyed by storm No. 13 and flooding, and also donated 50 tons of rice and necessities to support the people.

On the morning of November 26, in Quy Nhon Dong ward (Gia Lai province), the Ministry of Public Security held a groundbreaking ceremony to build houses for households that collapsed due to storm No. 13 and flooding. Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of the Ministry's Office, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Public Security's Civil Defense Steering Committee, chaired the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen presented 1 billion VND from the Ministry of Public Security to support Gia Lai households whose houses collapsed due to storm No. 13 and flooding. He also presented gifts to encourage the forces that assisted in rescuing and supporting people during storm No. 13 and the recent floods.

Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen affirmed that this is a meaningful gift that demonstrates the spirit of “mutual love and affection”, the close relationship between the army and the people, contributing to helping people stabilize their lives soon. The police force pledged to continue to accompany, not to let people go hungry and to build houses “as soon as possible, most durable and economical”.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Lam Hai Giang Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts of Gia Lai Police force in responding to storms and floods, helping people, leaving many beautiful images in the community. He requested the Police force to continue to proactively use vehicles and forces to promptly respond and rescue in the coming time.

Representing the households receiving support to build houses, Mr. Le Thanh Ngoc (Hai Bac quarter, Quy Nhon Dong ward) expressed his gratitude for the attention of the Ministry of Public Security, Gia Lai Provincial Police and local agencies. He said the new house will help his family feel secure in working, producing and stabilizing their lives after the natural disaster.

On the same morning, at Gia Lai Provincial Police, the working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security's Office led by Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen presented 50 tons of rice and many essential necessities to join hands to support people to overcome difficulties after the flood.

On the morning of November 25, the People's Police University and the Phu Tho Provincial Police presented a total of 420 million VND and many necessities to support officers, soldiers and people of Gia Lai to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
