At 12 noon, Mr. Lo Van Son (in black shirt, 21 years old, from Son La - a construction worker in Hanoi) finished his assigned construction work. He hurriedly packed his luggage and put it in a bag to go to My Dinh bus station to receive the ticket he had booked in advance. Sitting in the waiting area for the bus, Mr. Son looked tired after missing the bus he had booked. "I booked the ticket in advance, but because I had to finish some work, I missed the bus at 12:30. The next bus home won't be available until 7:00 p.m., so I'm just sitting here waiting," said Mr. Son.

Lo Van Tien (born in 1979, from Dien Bien) is eagerly waiting for the bus to return after a long time without being able to return. “I booked the ticket in advance, the bus doesn’t leave until 5pm, but I was so excited that I went to the bus station to wait in advance and called my family back home to congratulate me,” Tien said.

A representative of My Dinh bus station said: “It is expected that the number of passengers and vehicles during the 2024 National Day holiday will increase from the afternoon of August 30 and August 31, decrease to normal levels on September 1 and the morning of September 2, and increase again from the afternoon of September 3 and the morning of September 4. At My Dinh bus station, the number of passengers on peak days is about 22,000/day, an increase of more than 350% compared to normal days, the expected number of vehicles is more than: 950 vehicles/day, mainly on the routes: Hoa Binh, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Son La, Lai Chau, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang ...”.

Similarly, at Giap Bat bus station, people also come very early to wait for buses to go home or travel.

Everyone brought a lot of belongings and gifts from the city back to the countryside.

This year's National Day holiday on September 2 lasts 4 days, from August 31, 2024 to September 3, 2024 (from Saturday to Tuesday).
