Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism: Discussing solutions to accelerate recovery and develop sustainable tourism

On the morning of August 15, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) held an online conference to disseminate new documents to accelerate the recovery and develop Vietnam's tourism effectively and sustainably. Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet and leaders of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism chaired the conference at the Hanoi bridge. Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of the Department of Tourism chaired the conference at the Khanh Hoa bridge.

At the conference, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism disseminated and thoroughly grasped Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP of the Government on the main tasks and solutions to accelerate recovery and accelerate effective and sustainable tourism development; Action Plan of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to implement Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP; Vietnam Tourism Marketing Strategy to 2030 and Project on some models for developing night tourism products. Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP of the Government identifies 7 main tasks and solutions to develop the tourism industry into a key economic sector and one of the 30 countries with the world's leading tourism competitiveness. The main solutions are: promoting the restructuring of the tourism industry towards professionalism, modernity, quality and sustainability; continuing to facilitate the attraction of international tourists to Vietnam; increasing investment attraction for tourism development with a focus on national tourist areas; developing communication, advertising and tourism promotion products; supporting tourism businesses, improving the quality of training, fostering human resources and accelerating digital transformation, promoting startups and innovation in the tourism sector. Accordingly, all relevant entities, ministries, sectors, provinces, cities, associations and the business community have specific roles in implementing the task of developing the country's tourism.

Vietnam's tourism marketing strategy aims to position Vietnam as a leading attractive tourist destination in Southeast Asia, affirming the Vietnamese tourism brand with the title and symbol "Vietnam - Timeless Beauty" and the competitiveness of Vietnamese tourism, contributing to the implementation of the goals of the Vietnam Tourism Development Strategy to 2030. Thereby, improving Vietnam's ranking on tourism marketing-related indicators in the World Economic Forum's Tourism Development Capacity Assessment Index.
