Ministry of Construction urges progress of public investment disbursement

Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh has just signed and issued an official dispatch requesting Da Nang city and 9 provinces and cities, along with specialized agencies, to speed up project implementation and disbursement of public investment capital in 2025.

Accordingly, the Minister of Construction requested the People's Committees of 10 provinces and cities: Cao Bang, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Dak Lak, Dong Thap and Da Nang to direct relevant agencies and units to implement flexible, creative, timely and effective solutions and measures to promote the disbursement of public investment capital allocated to projects.

"The acceleration of disbursement progress must be associated with ensuring construction quality, avoiding negativity, loss, waste, and violations of legal regulations," the dispatch stated.

Local authorities are also requested to direct local authorities and political systems to resolve long-standing land-use problems and promptly hand over construction sites to construction units.

In case the site clearance work cannot be completely resolved, the project cannot be completed on schedule, especially for projects that have been extended by competent authorities and projects that combine central budget capital with local budget, the Ministry of Construction will report to competent authorities to stop project implementation to hand over to localities for continued management and investment implementation according to regulations...
