Since the beginning of the year, the health system has recorded three consecutive cases in Gia Lai, Phu Tho and Nam Dinh.
The above incidents have disrupted order, security and safety of the hospital, seriously affecting medical examination and treatment; affecting the spirit and health, threatening the lives, reducing the motivation and dedication of the team of doctors and medical staff.
Therefore, to enhance security and safety for medical examination and treatment facilities, the Ministry of Health requires local health departments and hospitals to review, consolidate and fully implement measures to ensure security and order according to regulations.

At the same time, develop plans to prevent and respond to situations of disturbance and assault on medical staff; direct the review, installation and maintenance of security camera systems in key areas such as the Examination and Emergency departments, duty rooms, administrative corridors, hospital entrances, etc.
The Ministry of Health also requested to increase security personnel, arrange 24/7 duty at key locations, and ensure proactiveness in handling situations.
Medical facilities also need to review the emergency admission and treatment process, medical examination process; increase the application of information technology in medical examination and treatment. Specifically, effectively deploy electronic medical records, online medical examination registration, and examination by time frame to reduce waiting time, avoid overload, and reduce the risk of conflict.
Units also need to regularly train medical staff on communication and situation handling skills.
The Ministry of Health also noted that units must strictly handle violations of professional regulations, regulations on professional ethics and codes of conduct.
