Vietnam U21 continued to make a splash at the 2025 World U21 Volleyball Championship when they defeated Canada U21 3-1, thereby entering the top 16 strongest teams. Notably, set 4 ended with a 25-5 victory - the biggest margin since the beginning of the tournament.

The match opened smoothly when the Vietnamese girls won 25-19 in set 1 thanks to solid defense and effective sideline attacks.

Canada exploded in set 2, winning narrowly 26-24, but set 3 saw the brilliance of Dang Hong, Bich Hue, and Quynh Huong, helping Vietnam regain the lead with a score of 25-19.

Entering set 4, the steel bar and consecutive winning serves completely “broke down” the North American team. U21 Vietnam scored 13 points in a row, ending the match with a historic 25-5 victory, creating a morale boost before the round of 16.

First time participating in the tournament, ranked 25th in the world, but coach Nguyen Trong Linh's team caused a shock when they defeated Serbia - the 9th ranked team. Currently ranked second in Group A after Argentina, Dang Thi Hong and her teammates will meet Argentina and Puerto Rico to determine their rankings, ready to aim for more surprises in the knockout round.
