In 2025, severe natural disasters caused a significant drop in Hanoi's Dien pomelo production. However, long-standing orchard owners in Tay Tuu ward (Hanoi) overcame the difficulties to ensure a timely harvest of sweet fruit for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. According to Mr. Nguyen Gia Dung, owner of Dung Thu pomelo orchard, this year his family harvested over 100,000 Dien pomelos to supply the market. The price of each authentic Dien pomelo is 40,000 VND.
