NDO - On the afternoon of April 26, 12 party members of the Party Cell of A Kindergarten (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) gathered at 71 Hang Trong Street to attend a special party cell meeting on the occasion of the historic month of April. The theme of this meeting was to visit and learn about the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification through an interactive exhibition organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper.

After visiting the Exhibition and receiving the supplement commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day of Nhan Dan Newspaper, comrade Pham Thu Thuy, Secretary of the Party Cell of Kindergarten A, excitedly shared: Once a month, the Party Cell of Kindergarten A organizes thematic activities.

“On this occasion, in the atmosphere of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, party members as well as the Party Cell proposed to attend and experience the interactive exhibition organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper. This is a very special exhibition right in the heart of the old town, when it has recreated many historical images of the historic moment 50 years ago,” informed comrade Pham Thu Thuy.

According to him, through this exhibition, party members in the cell, who are also teachers, will understand more about the heroic traditions of the nation; foster patriotism; thereby conveying it to the future generations of the country.

Party members at the A Kindergarten Party Cell are particularly interested in the way of “telling” history through interactive technology. With just a simple QR code scan, viewers will not only be able to read printed newspapers but also “witness” historical content presented vividly in the form of audio, images, and videos .

“Hopefully, in the coming time, Nhan Dan Newspaper will continue to organize more similar events so that the public in general and party members in particular will have the opportunity to access national history in modern, creative ways, based on digital technology ,” said comrade Pham Thu Thuy.

Also present at the exhibition on the afternoon of April 26 were teachers and students of class 4D, Trang An Primary School (Hoan Kiem District). In recent days, the school's Board of Directors has continuously organized special extracurricular lessons right on the campus of 71 Hang Trong.

Here, students will be “told” about the special moment when the country was unified. Spaces are continuously opened, from the area recreating the image of a tank crashing into the gate of the Independence Palace at noon on April 30, 1975 to the field tent area summarizing the historical Ho Chi Minh Campaign through 3D Mapping technology, projected vertically on Nhan Dan Newspaper.

In addition, the area introducing 10 enlarged photos of the front page of Nhan Dan newspaper published on April 30 of the years 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020, also attracted a large number of visitors...

Students of class 4D, Trang An Primary School (Hoan Kiem district) enjoyed visiting the exhibition.

Unable to hide his excitement, Nguyen Khanh An (class 4D, Trang An Primary School) said: “I am very proud to experience the Exhibition. I am especially impressed with the model of the tank that crashed into the gate of the Independence Palace. Through the Exhibition, I am even more grateful to the generations of our ancestors who sacrificed so that we can have the peace we have today.”

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Quynh Mai, homeroom teacher of class 4D, said: "When receiving the information that they would be attending the Exhibition organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, the students were very happy, excited and looking forward to it.

“Personally, I find that the Exhibition brings a lot of valuable information; at the same time, it helps young people understand better and feel closer to the country's history,” Ms. Mai emphasized.

According to the reporter, on the 4th day of the exhibition, hundreds of young people continued to line up for kilometers to wait for their turn to receive the special publication of Nhan Dan Newspaper on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). At one point, the crowd almost "surrounded" three streets: Hang Trong, Bao Khanh and Le Thai To.

Arriving at 7am, Ms. Le Dieu Linh (Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi) said that today, she had arranged her work and brought her 4-year-old daughter to Hoan Kiem Lake early. However, when they arrived, the mother and daughter still had to queue because the number of people waiting before was very large.

“I am very impressed with the interactive media products of Nhan Dan Newspaper on the occasion of the country's major holidays in the past. Currently, I have publications commemorating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 10/10 publication of the Hanoi flagpole and the portraits of 80 generals on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army. Therefore, I want to add to my collection of publications on this occasion,” Ms. Dieu Linh excitedly said.

On the 4th day of the exhibition, hundreds of young people continued to line up for kilometers to wait their turn to receive a special publication of Nhan Dan Newspaper to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Ms. Linh added that the special publications of Nhan Dan Newspaper have provided her and her family with a new, more vivid and attractive perspective on the country's important events. Through this, people have the opportunity to understand and love their country more.

“I keep all the supplements carefully. In the future, I plan to use these products to teach my children about national history,” said Linh.

Joining the queue with her two twin children from 8am, Ms. Mai Anh (Tay Ho district, Hanoi) shared that she learned about the exhibition of Nhan Dan Newspaper through Facebook and TikTok, and was especially impressed with the commemorative supplement that the Newspaper launched on this occasion.

“Last year, I missed the opportunity to receive the Dien Bien Phu Campaign panorama supplement, so this year, I am determined to arrange my work to come and wait to receive the supplement celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. I am truly happy to be immersed in the joyful atmosphere here, everyone united towards the celebration of the great national holiday,” Mai Anh said excitedly.

Through reading reviews on social networks as well as experiencing the exhibition directly, she expressed her special impression when the supplement of Nhan Dan Newspaper launched on the occasion of the April 30 anniversary this year integrated AR and 3D mapping technology, allowing viewing of animations of important moments in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign through QR code scanning, including images of our army's tanks crashing into the gate of the Independence Palace.

According to Ms. Mai Anh, the propaganda initiative of Nhan Dan Newspaper helps the public as well as young people have the opportunity to access and understand more about the value and significance of the Great Spring Victory in 1975, as well as the sacrifices of our ancestors so that the country can have peace and independence today.

“The fact that many young people visited the exhibition and lined up to receive the supplement of Nhan Dan Newspaper shows that young people are always interested in the historical traditions of the nation. What is important is that we have a way to approach and convey information suitable for young people, especially in the current digital age,” Ms. Mai Anh expressed and said that she will keep the supplement of Nhan Dan Newspaper as a souvenir.

Delighted with the supplement she had just received, Ilaria - a final year economics student in Venice, Italy and an intern in Hanoi, shared that this was the first time she had witnessed a printed newspaper publication integrating QR code technology to promote the country's important anniversary.

Ilaria - a senior economics student in Venice, Italy, enjoys holding the supplement commemorating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification of Nhan Dan Newspaper.

“Seeing people, especially young people holding newspapers on the street, I felt quite curious so I went to the exhibition to receive a supplement. Although I only glanced at it, I really felt that it was beautifully designed with eye-catching colors and images. What was even more special was the QR codes integrated into it. I had never seen this in Italy before.”

According to Ilaria, this is a great way to educate about the country's historical traditions; people can pick up the newspaper to read, take it home to keep and take it out to look at whenever there is an anniversary.
