The second photo and video award with the theme “Technology with heart” has entered the “sprint stage.” Authors from all over the country are actively submitting their works to participate.
This is an award jointly organized by Vietnam News Agency and the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ), aiming to honor the values that technology brings to life; inspire creativity, arouse pride in the breakthrough achievements of Vietnamese technology, contribute to bringing about changes in all fields, create a sustainable foundation for the country to develop prosperously in the new era, towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and 40 years of national renovation.
After the first season in 2024, the second season with the theme "Vietnamese Creativity - The Road to Prosperity" will tell meaningful and emotional stories through photos and videos recorded in daily life both at home and abroad.

The works participating in the Award focus on the following areas: Technology and production development, helping to increase productivity, product quality, and enhance national competitiveness; Technology and life, helping people live in harmony with nature, bringing a better life; Technology and connection, enhancing exchanges between regions and countries in a world without distance; Technology and digital transformation, recognizing solutions and achievements in national digital transformation, building digital government, digital economy , and digital citizens; Technology and cybersecurity, creating a safe and healthy cyberspace.
The award is open to all Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad (excluding Viettel staff). Each author has the right to submit an unlimited number of entries (including single photos, photo reports and videos); only one name can be used according to the ID card or Citizen ID. Entries must be made from May 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, and must not have won any awards in photo and video contests.
Photographic works can be single photos or photo essays; color or black and white photos; taken with professional equipment or phones; JPG format, minimum 3MB, 300dpi resolution. The Organizing Committee does not accept photos edited to distort reality.
Each photo essay is considered a work, consisting of 5 to 8 photos, with an introduction to the content of the photo essay (maximum 150 words). The author must number the photos in the essay from 1 to 8. The website for receiving photos will have specific instructions when the author submits the photos.
Video has a maximum duration of 90 seconds; can be recorded by camera, phone, flycam, tablet...; format: mp4, minimum HD 720p, maximum 200MB; does not use Generative AI to create any animated frames.
In case of using music or sound, the copyright must be ensured (free music stores of Youtube, Facebook, Tiktok or free music websites can be used). The Organizing Committee encourages entries to have full copyright of images and sounds. The content of the work must be concise, easy to understand, have communication meaning, create an impression on the viewer, stick to the theme, have creativity in script building and staging techniques.
Contest entries must not violate public morals; must not contain negative content about politics, religion, beliefs, cultural activities; must not violate intellectual property, copyright, related rights and legal regulations.

The second “Technology with heart” photo and video award has 3 sets of awards for single photos, photo reports and videos. Each set of awards includes: 1 First prize worth 50 million VND, 2 Second prizes worth 40 million VND each, 3 Third prizes worth 30 million VND each, 5 Encouragement prizes worth 10 million VND each.
The Jury will select a number of works to display at the Award Ceremony, the authors will receive a photo royalty of 3 million VND/work.
The closing and award ceremony is expected to take place in August 2025.
