From August 15, Binh Phuoc Provincial Post Office (old) merged into Dong Nai Provincial Post Office, becoming one of 22 provincial and municipal post offices with new names corresponding to 2-level administrative units. This is an important step in Vietnam Post's strategy of rapid and comprehensive adaptation to large-scale changes to the routing system, address codes, business software and nationwide operating network.
Along with the reorganization of the apparatus, the Commune Post Office is oriented to become a multi-functional service center at the commune level - where people can carry out public administrative procedures, make financial payments, send and receive goods, buy and sell essential consumer goods, pay for insurance - electricity - water - telecommunications and access digital platforms of the Government and businesses.
