This will be a platform that integrates information, reviews of destinations and travel service booking tools in Vietnam, considered a strategic step forward for digital tourism.
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh said that choosing the topic of tourism data showed a profound vision of the fourth industrial revolution when data has become a type of resource that determines competitiveness and sustainable development.
In the current context, the application of digital technology is identified as a key solution to help the Vietnamese tourism industry make a breakthrough, maintain high growth momentum, manage effectively and improve service quality; in recent years, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has always strived to promote the application of digital technology in tourism development, contributing to the development of Vietnam in general and Vietnam tourism in particular, making a breakthrough and making an important contribution to the country's economy .

At the workshop, representatives of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the National Data Association (NDA), and strategic partners such as Sun Group , Visa, Mastercard, Trip.com, etc. signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in developing the national tourism data platform Visit Vietnam. This platform plays a central role in connecting data between management agencies, businesses, and tourists, thereby forming a transparent, smart, and safe tourism ecosystem.

Speaking at the event, Major Dao Duc Trieu, General Secretary of the National Data Association, affirmed that the construction of the national tourism data platform Visit Vietnam is considered an important step, creating a premise for the formation of a comprehensive tourism data ecosystem, contributing to promoting the digital economy and smart, sustainable tourism in Vietnam.
Accordingly, the National Data Association (NDA) is the unit that issues policies and legal frameworks, and is also the project certification agency. Sun Group Corporation is the unit that develops and operates the technology platform. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism supports communication and promotes the initiative on national channels, while introducing and attracting the tourism business community to participate in the project. The platform's data will be mainly contributed by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the tourism business community and tourists.

The highlight of Visit Vietnam lies in its ability to integrate advanced technologies. The virtual travel assistant system Al Travel Assistant can automatically plan and book services for tourists. The NDAchain.vn platform helps with decentralized authentication, ensuring the reliability and transparency of information. Services are deeply integrated, from transportation, accommodation, cuisine to nationwide loyalty programs. In addition, with Blockchain technology and Tokenization security process, all data on the platform will be verified and protected most strictly.

Launched in the context of Vietnam tourism lacking a centralized data management and exploitation system, Visit Vietnam is expected to overcome the situation of scattered, unconnected and difficult-to-access information. This platform will help tourists easily search, book services, explore local culture; help businesses grasp trends, design personalized products; and support management agencies in formulating policies based on real-time data.
Visit Vietnam’s development roadmap is divided into clear strategic milestones. In October 2025, the project will create a national data platform, launch the National Tourism Dashboard version 1.0 for the Government, and operate the Program Announcement Portal.

The platform is expected to be launched to the public in the second quarter of 2026, focusing on building trust and providing travel planning tools, including a national blockchain-based authentication rating system and a trip planning feature.
APEC 2027 will be a milestone demonstrating Visit Vietnam’s international stature, with a direct service booking system, AI-powered itinerary suggestions, and the launch of a data-as-a-service (DaaS) platform for businesses. After 2027, the long-term goal is to become a comprehensive travel “super app”, allowing one-touch ticket booking, multimedia integration, and contributing to leading the Vietnamese tourism market to the world.
