The Vietnamese women's volleyball team continued their impressive form at the AVC Nations Cup 2025 when they won first place in Group A without losing any set, even though coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has not yet fielded his strongest squad.

In the final round of the group stage on the evening of June 12, Vietnam easily defeated Australia 3-0. Joining Vietnam is Chinese Taipei after a 3-1 victory over India.

In Group B, the shock happened when Kazakhstan lost 0-3 to the Philippines, thereby falling to second place and facing Vietnam in the semi-finals - the match considered the "early final" of the tournament.

The remaining semi-final will be between the Philippines and Chinese Taipei. The remaining teams will compete in the qualifying round on June 13. Vietnam promises to field its strongest squad to aim for the championship.
