The whole village competes in cooking rice at noon in the communal house yard in Hanoi.

Every year on the 8th of January, people of Thi Cam village ( Hanoi ) gather at the communal house to participate in the traditional fire-making and rice-cooking competition. The traditional cultural festival is organized by Thi Cam villagers to commemorate the merits of Phan Tay Nhac, an outstanding general of the 18th Hung King. In 2021, this festival was included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
