Students start and end semester I: From September 8, 2025 to January 10, 2026.

First day of school

For grades 1, 9, and 12: From August 25, 2025 to before the opening day.

For preschool education ; other grades of general education; continuing education: From August 28, 2025 to before the opening day.

Start and end dates of the school year

Start and end date of semester I: From September 8, 2025 to January 10, 2026 (including 18 weeks of actual study).

Start and end date of Semester II: From January 12, 2026 to May 23, 2026 (including 17 weeks of actual study).

Reserve week after the end of the school year (completion of program, year-end summary): From May 25, 2026 to May 30, 2026.

New Year's Day, Lunar New Year, holidays

Implement according to current regulations. Based on the actual situation of the locality and the educational activity plan, the Director of the Department of Education and Training shall provide appropriate guidance to the sector, ensuring that the holiday time for students is similar to the holiday time for officials, civil servants and public employees to create favorable conditions for students and their families in activities.

Annual leave time for managers and teachers

Conducted during summer vacation or arranged alternately at other times of the year to suit the specific characteristics and school year schedule of the province.

End of school year

Consideration of recognition of completion of primary school program, consideration of recognition of graduation from secondary school: Completed no later than May 30, 2026.

All levels of education will finish and organize the summary of the 2025-2026 school year no later than May 31, 2026.

In case of natural disasters or epidemics, the 2025-2026 school year may be extended and end no later than June 13, 2026.

Enrollment in first grade classes for the 2026 - 2027 school year

Complete primary school enrollment for kindergarten, grade 1, grade 6 and grade 10 before July 31, 2026.

Time for examinations to select excellent students; high school graduation exams; exams, contests, competitions; seminars, professional training and other educational activities

Competition for teachers with excellent teaching lessons at primary school level for teachers at educational institutions in Bac Lieu province (old): January 2026.

"Excellent Manager" Contest at primary school level: March 2026.

"Excellent Manager" Contest for preschool level: April 2026.

Selection exam for provincial high school excellent student team to participate in national excellent student selection exam: September 28, 2025.

Provincial high school science and technology research competition: From December 1, 2025 to December 7, 2025.

Competition "Solving Math on Casio Handheld Calculators" for provincial high school students: March 2026.

Provincial athletics, swimming, and soccer tournament for students: April 2026.

Provincial high school excellent student selection exam: March 8, 2026.

Provincial junior high school excellent student selection exam: March 29, 2026.

Trial exam for high school graduation exam 2026: From April 24, 2026 to April 25, 2026.

High school graduation exam, national high school excellent student selection exam and national science and technology research competition: According to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training; there are separate instructions.

Some other exams, contests and competitions are organized under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.
