The reappearance of whales in Nha Trang Bay excited many tourists present, capturing the rare moment, a spectacular "natural performance" in the middle of the blue ocean.

Previously, whales had appeared twice in the Hon Mun sea area at the end of July 2025. The recent continuous appearance of whales in Nha Trang Bay has attracted the attention of the community, tourists and researchers. Many people believe that the appearance of whales here may be due to the improved marine environment, more abundant food sources, and reasonable control of fishing activities.

To protect whales, the Nha Trang Bay Management Board has issued a notice advising organizations and individuals operating in the sea area to keep a minimum distance of 100 meters when detecting whales; not to chase or block their heads to observe; to limit noise and strictly comply with regulations on protecting rare marine life in the conservation area. “The continuous appearance of whales and hunting in Nha Trang Bay is not only a strange thing but also a good sign that the sea is reviving. It is also the way nature responds when people know how to preserve and live in harmony with the surrounding environment,” said Mr. Tran Van Phu.
