Steps to receive Government gifts on the occasion of September 2nd holiday

Steps to operate on VNeID application.

According to the Resolution, all Vietnamese citizens and people of Vietnamese origin whose nationality has not been determined but are legally residing in Vietnam, and have been updated in the National Population Database as of August 30, 2025, will receive gifts.

The gift amount is 100,000 VND/person , paid in cash. The gift giving is done by household, can be received directly at the locality or via the VNeID electronic identification application, bank account. The payment period is from August 31 to September 1, 2025, in objective cases no later than September 15, 2025 .

The funding source for implementation is from the central budget in 2025 , totaling more than 10,700 billion VND , equivalent to over 107 million citizens. The activity of giving gifts to the whole people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 has profound meaning. This is both a gratitude to the people, who have always accompanied the country throughout the past 80 years, and a reminder of the revolutionary tradition, arousing the spirit of solidarity and patriotism.

This gift-giving activity is not only a gratitude from the Party and State, but also contributes to strengthening the great national unity bloc, encouraging patriotism, and creating an exciting atmosphere on the occasion of the nation's great anniversary. Although the gift is not of great material value, it has profound spiritual significance, affirming the viewpoint of "taking the people as the center" in all policies of the Party and State.

Currently, the VNeID application has opened the feature of registering for a social security account with the following steps:

Step 1: Open the VNeID app and log in to your account.

Step 2: At the main interface, users just need to click on Social Security - Social Security Account, authenticate again when requested.

Step 3: Enter your 6-digit password to access

Step 4: Select your bank account or mobile money account to receive benefits from social security policies. Then continue to fill in the information of the bank account you have chosen to link.

Fill in all personal information in each section and check the box below the information section "I have read the Purpose of sharing and processing data, Rights and obligations of data subjects and agree to share and process personal data" then select "Continue" to send the request for linking.

Step 5: Next, users just need to fill in all the necessary information, including full name, date of birth, ID card number, bank account number. Then check the box "I have read the Purpose of Sharing"... at the bottom of the page and click "Continue", follow the instructions until complete.

Step 6: After clicking continue, you will be redirected to the screen below with a notification that the request has been successfully submitted and is awaiting approval.
