Press agencies offer incense at the Gac Ma Soldier Memorial

On the afternoon of April 28, the collective leaders, reporters, and editors of Khanh Hoa Radio and Television Station, Khanh Hoa Newspaper, and Lam Dong Newspaper came to offer incense at the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Site (Cam Hai Dong Commune, Cam Lam District) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Truong Sa archipelago (April 29, 1975 - April 29, 2025).

The delegation offered flowers and incense at the monument cluster “Those who lie on the horizon” and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland of Vietnam. Next, the delegation offered incense at the wind grave; visited the memorial area, learned about the war, and the heroic sacrifice of 64 officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy while on duty to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland in the Gac Ma - Co Lin - Len Dao sea area in 1988.

It is known that the Gac Ma Soldier Memorial was started by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and completed in 2017. On average, each year, this place welcomes more than 500,000 people and tourists, including many international delegations. The Memorial is one of the "red addresses" chosen by many agencies, units, and schools as a place to return to the source toeducate about sovereignty over seas and islands, love for homeland and country for generations.
