In response to this trend, postal businesses are increasing investment in infrastructure and developing comprehensive, end-to-end logistics solutions to meet customer needs.

The foundation of logistics
The Vietnamese logistics market continues to maintain a growth rate of 12-14% per year and is valued at over $60 billion, ranking among the top 10 out of 50 emerging global logistics markets. This is entirely logical as Vietnam is gradually becoming a crucial link in the global supply chain and a "base" for many global corporations such as Samsung, LG, and Foxconn.
Furthermore, accelerating the completion and construction of numerous infrastructure facilities, including airports, highways, the North-South high-speed railway, seaports, and free trade zones, will create enormous development potential… However, the cost of logistics services in Vietnam remains high compared to the world average (currently accounting for about 16.5-16.8% of GDP, compared to 11.6% globally).
Not to be left behind, postal businesses, with their mission to become infrastructure providers for logistics and digital technology , have shifted their investments significantly. Among them, Viettel Post Corporation (Viettel Post) has inaugurated the largest and most modern Logistics Park in Vietnam in Lang Son. With the capacity to handle 1,500 vehicles per day, double the previous capacity, this is the first Logistics Park in Vietnam to provide comprehensive import and export logistics services (from customs clearance, quarantine, inspection, transshipment, warehousing to cross-border transport), shortening customs clearance time to just 24 hours, instead of 3-4 days as before...
Vietnam Post Corporation has also invested in 7 transit hubs in key economic regions. These hubs are equipped with high-capacity automated sorting systems capable of real-time identification and routing of mail, allowing for the processing of tens of thousands of mail items per hour with nearly 100% accuracy. With a system of over 700 operational centers and more than 4,000 transport vehicles via road, rail, and air, Vietnam Post will launch a specialized e-commerce platform for agricultural products (nongsan.buudien.vn) in December 2024.
Flexible, intelligent, deeply connected.
Postal businesses, with their extensive service network and modern warehouses strategically located along key economic zones, have an advantage in developing smart, integrated logistics solutions closely linked to the growth of cross-border e-commerce. Therefore, they can offer comprehensive logistics solutions (providing all logistics services for a supply chain from producer to consumer) and holistic solutions (providing a complete supply chain management solution integrating logistics services from various parties) to meet customer trends and needs.
In particular, Vietnam Post Corporation and Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) recently signed an agreement to cooperate, invest in, and develop modern supply chain infrastructure. Accordingly, Vietnam Post will invest in facilities, technology, and human resources to effectively utilize air logistics services. ACV (which manages 22 international and domestic airports) will collaborate with Vietnam Post in exploiting and developing logistics infrastructure at airports, aiming for a synchronized, safe, and modern operational model. In other words, this partnership between the two companies proactively anticipates policy changes, promotes innovation, and pioneers the provision of comprehensive logistics solutions for global connectivity.
Earlier in June 2025, Viettel Post also launched a comprehensive logistics solution, integrated on a single digital platform, helping businesses save up to 30% on logistics costs and shorten delivery time by 40% compared to traditional methods.
According to Viettel Post's General Director, Hoang Van Cuong, Viettel Post is gradually building a flexible, intelligent, and deeply connected logistics model to fully meet the specific needs of each industry, each business, and each unique operational strategy. The company will focus on investing synchronously in border gate infrastructure, logistics centers, distribution centers, multimodal transport networks, and intelligent operating systems. Through this, it aims to gradually realize its goal of becoming a pillar of infrastructure in the national logistics ecosystem.
According to Chu Quang Hao, General Director of Vietnam Post Corporation, Vietnam Post will undertake the pioneering mission of the national postal enterprise to solve the country's strategic problems of reducing logistics costs, optimizing the supply chain, and developing national e-commerce platforms. Therefore, Vietnam Post will not only digitize its processes but also conduct business based on digital platforms, aiming to generate new revenue from innovation and technology, becoming a technology-driven enterprise in the fields of logistics, e-commerce, and related services.
Thus, with comprehensive and holistic logistics solutions, postal businesses demonstrate systematic and professional service delivery. This is also the inevitable path to enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam's logistics sector.
