Faced with this trend, postal businesses are increasing investment in infrastructure, offering comprehensive, end-to-end logistics solutions to meet customer needs.

The foundation of logistics
The logistics market in Vietnam continues to maintain a growth rate of 12-14%/year and is valued at over 60 billion USD, ranking in the top 10/50 emerging logistics markets in the world. This is completely reasonable because Vietnam is gradually playing the role of one of the important links in the global supply chain, and is also the "stronghold" of many global corporations, such as Samsung, LG, Foxconn...
In addition, accelerating the completion and construction of many infrastructures from airports, highways, North-South high-speed railways, seaports and free trade zones will create huge development potential... However, Vietnam's logistics service costs are still high compared to the world average (currently accounting for about 16.5-16.8% of GDP, globally at 11.6%).
Not standing on the sidelines, postal enterprises with the mission of becoming enterprises providing infrastructure for logistics and digital technology , have strongly shifted their investment direction. Among them, Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Post) has inaugurated the Logistics Park with the largest and most modern infrastructure in Vietnam in Lang Son. With the capacity to handle 1,500 customs clearance vehicles per day, twice as much as before, this is the first Logistics Park in Vietnam to provide full import and export logistics services (from customs clearance, quarantine, inspection, loading, warehousing to cross-border transportation), shortening the customs clearance time to only 24 hours, instead of 3-4 days as before...
Vietnam Post Corporation (Vietnam Post) has also invested in 7 transfer stations (Hubs) in key economic regions. These hubs are equipped with a large-capacity automatic sorting line system, capable of identifying and routing postal items in real time, allowing the processing of tens of thousands of postal items/hour with nearly 100% accuracy. With a system of more than 700 exploitation centers, over 4,000 means of transport by road, rail, and air, in December 2024, Vietnam Post launched a specialized e-commerce platform for agricultural products (nongsan.buudien.vn).
Flexible, smart, deeply connected
Postal enterprises with a wide network of service points; modern warehouses along the axis of key economic regions... have advantages in developing smart, synchronous logistics solutions and closely linked with the development of cross-border e-commerce. Therefore, it is possible to offer complete logistics solutions (providing all logistics services for a supply chain from manufacturers to consumers), comprehensive (providing total supply chain management solutions, integrating logistics services of many different parties) to meet customer trends and needs.
In particular, Vietnam Post Corporation and Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) have just signed an agreement to cooperate, invest and develop modern supply chain infrastructure. Accordingly, Vietnam Post invests in facilities, technology and human resources to effectively exploit aviation logistics services. ACV (currently managing 22 international and domestic airports) coordinates with Vietnam Post in exploiting and developing logistics infrastructure at airports, aiming for a synchronous, safe and modern operating model. In other words, the "handshake" of these two enterprises has proactively anticipated policies, promoted innovation in the pioneering global connection model in providing comprehensive logistics solutions.
Previously, in June 2025, Viettel Post also launched a full-process logistics solution, integrated on a single digital platform, helping businesses save up to 30% of logistics costs and shorten 40% of time compared to traditional methods.
According to General Director of Viettel Post Corporation Hoang Van Cuong, Viettel Post is gradually building a flexible - smart - deeply connected logistics model to fully meet the specific needs of each industry, each business, and each separate operational strategy. The enterprise will focus on synchronous investment in border gate infrastructure, logistics centers, distribution centers, multimodal transport networks, and smart operating systems. Thereby, gradually realizing the goal of becoming an infrastructure pillar in the national logistics ecosystem.
Chu Quang Hao, General Director of Vietnam Post Corporation, said that Vietnam Post will take on the pioneering mission of a national postal enterprise to solve the country's strategic problems of reducing logistics costs, optimizing supply chains and developing national e-commerce platforms. Therefore, Vietnam Post must not only digitize processes but also conduct business based on digital platforms, with the goal of generating new revenue from innovation and technology activities, becoming a technology enterprise in the fields of logistics, e-commerce logistics, etc.
Thus, with comprehensive logistics solutions, postal enterprises show their professionalism in providing services. This is also the inevitable path to improve the competitiveness of Vietnam's logistics.
