Schools announce academic transcript benchmark scores in April 2024

13 schools have announced the 2024 academic transcript benchmark scores, averaging 5-8.5 points per subject, Vietnam Women's Academy has the highest score, and the most common is 6 points.

By considering the average score of 3 subjects in the combination of 5 semesters (except semester II, grade 12), the admission score based on the transcript of the Vietnam Women's Academy is about 19-25.5. The Multimedia Communication major has the highest standard score, candidates must achieve an average of 8.5 points per subject to pass.

If we combine academic transcripts with international English certificates, this industry still leads with a standard of 25 points. Other industries take 20-23 points.

Among 13 schools, Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology has the lowest standard score, ranging from 15-22 points, in 18 training majors. This is the average score of the combination of three subjects in three semesters (grade 11 and semester I of grade 12) or semester I of grade 12 alone.

For Pharmacy, candidates also need to have a good overall score or a graduation exam score of 8 or higher.

The remaining schools have a common benchmark score of 18 for a combination of three subjects, equivalent to 6 points per subject. For majors in the Health sector, the benchmark score ranges from 19.5 to 24. This is the floor score to ensure input quality according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .

The above standard is the conditional early admission score. Candidates must graduate from high school to be officially admitted.

In addition, students still have to register their wishes on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training, from July 18 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30. The university admission results will be announced on August 19, each candidate will only be admitted to one wish.

In 2023, of more than half a million university graduates, 30.24% will be admitted based on their high school transcripts, second only to the high school graduation exam scores (49.5%).
