At the beginning of the discussion, lecturer Etsuko Fukano congratulated the Vietnamese women's team on their first participation in the Women's World Cup. The Japanese lecturer also emphasized that this is an activity for all countries with teams participating in the 2023 Women's World Cup and is an important part because on the field, the main interaction is between players and referees.

The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup will involve 107 match officials, including 33 referees, 55 assistant referees and 19 video officials. The referees will be supported by goal-line technology and VAR to ensure the accuracy of decisions during the match.

Instructor Etsuko Fukano also took the time to answer players' questions and share practical experiences to help players gain more knowledge before entering the upcoming important tournament.

The Vietnamese women's team has just finished a training trip in Europe. Here, the team had 4 friendly matches with quality opponents. As a result, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team won 2-1 against the youth team of Eintracht Frankfurt and 2-0 in the match against Schott Mainz. In the remaining two matches against the Polish U23 women's team and the German women's team, the Vietnamese female players played well and only lost with a score of 2-1.

After returning from Europe, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will have 10 more days of training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center before leaving for New Zealand on July 5 to get used to the training and competition conditions at the 2023 Women's World Cup. During the training period in New Zealand, the Vietnamese women's team will have two more important friendly matches with host New Zealand on July 10 and Spain on July 14.
