Naval Academy candidates successfully defend the title of Associate Professor in 2025

On September 11, in Hanoi, the Council of Professors of Military Science, Ministry of National Defense held a meeting to consider and propose recognition of meeting the standards for the title of Professor, Associate Professor of Military Science in 2025 for candidates from academies and schools in the entire army, including the Council of Professors of the Naval Academy. Lieutenant General, Professor, Doctor Tran Huu Phuc - Chairman of the Council chaired the meeting.

This is one of the meetings organized by the Council of Professors of Military Science to consider the standards for the title of Professor and Associate Professor in 2025 for 45 candidates (taking place from September 9 to 12). Accordingly, the Council of Professors of the Naval Academy has 5 candidates participating in the defense, of which 4 candidates are officers and lecturers of the Naval Academy and 1 candidate is an officer of the Air Force Officer School. The candidates of the Naval Academy include: Colonel, PhD Do Xuan Thinh - Head of Training Department; Colonel, PhD Nguyen Thanh Hai - Head of Department, Command and Staff Department; Lieutenant Colonel, PhD Hoang Trong Nghia - Head of Department, Department of Tactics - Operations; Lieutenant Colonel, PhD Duong Van Cong - Head of Department, Department of Tactics - Operations. These are officers and lecturers with experience in teaching and scientific research, with many published scientific works, participating in topics at the Ministry of National Defense , industry and grassroots levels.

The review process is serious, consisting of two main parts: Foreign language proficiency assessment and in-depth professional knowledge assessment. Candidates introduce themselves and present a general scientific report in English; at the same time, answer the Council's professional questions including: military - defense knowledge, science - education and the major registered for the title.

The Council made an objective and comprehensive assessment based on scientific records, professional capacity, training and research achievements and contributions to the unit, industry and the army. As a result, 100% of candidates achieved high votes of confidence, qualified to be submitted to the State Council of Professors for consideration and recognition of meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor in 2025. Thereby, affirming the quality and prestige of the team of lecturers and scientific researchers of the Naval Academy. This is a team of key scientists, contributing to improving the training and scientific research capacity of the Naval Academy, meeting the requirements of building a "Revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern" Naval Academy.
