After knowing the score, candidates can calculate the high school graduation score as follows:
- For high school students, the graduation exam score (GPA) is calculated:

High school graduation exam score = {(Total score of 4 high school graduation exams + total incentive score)/4 x 7 + average score of the whole year of grade 12 x 3}/10 + priority points.

In there:

+ Total score of 4 exams including: Math + Literature + English + average score of combined exam;

+ Average score for the whole year of grade 12: Calculated by the formula (GPA of semester 1 + GPA of semester 2×2)/3;

+ Priority points include: Priority points for subjects and priority points for areas.

- For students studying the continuingeducation program at high school level, the formula for calculating GPA is as follows:

Average score = {(Total score of 3 high school graduation exams/3 + total incentive score/4) x 7 + average score of the whole year of grade 12 x 3}/10 + priority points.

In which, the total score of 3 exams includes: Math + Literature + average score of the combined exam.

Candidates who take all the subjects, with no subject scoring 1 or less and a total score of 5 or more will be eligible for graduation recognition.

According to plan, the recognition of high school graduation in 2024 will be completed no later than July 19.

Candidates can submit an application for review of their exam results from July 17 to 26. By July 23 at the latest, high schools will issue temporary graduation certificates, print and send exam result certificates to candidates.

From July 18 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30, candidates can register, adjust, and add admission wishes an unlimited number of times. From July 22 to 5:00 p.m. on July 31, candidates applying for direct admission must confirm their admission on the system (if any).

From July 31 to 5:00 p.m. on August 6, candidates pay admission fees according to the number of admission wishes online, following the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Before 5:00 p.m. on August 19, training institutions will notify candidates who have passed the first round of admission and before 5:00 p.m. on August 27, candidates will confirm their admission online for the first round on the system.

The Ministry of Education and Training also noted that for candidates who are eligible to take the exam but do not have the average score for the entire 12th grade year as prescribed, only the test scores of the prescribed exams will be used to calculate the score for high school graduation recognition.

If a candidate has both a Vocational Certificate or a Secondary School Graduation Certificate, the candidate can only use one of the two above documents to get bonus points; if a candidate has multiple Vocational Certificates or Secondary School Graduation Certificates as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 40 of the Examination Regulations, bonus points will only be given to the Certificate/Diploma with the highest result.

The Director of the Department of Education and Training will be responsible to the Ministry of Education and Training for approving the results of high school graduation recognition for candidates in the locality in accordance with the examination regulations.
