Despite his busy Champions League schedule, Mbappe still took the time to visit the team in March, after an impressive victory in Europe. However, his brief appearance could not bring about a miracle, not enough to lift the spirits and change the poor form of the players.

In an effort to help Caen avoid relegation, Mbappe made a change on the coaching bench by bringing in Michel Der Zakarian, an experienced and knowledgeable French football player, to the club in February. However, all efforts to save the team came too late.

Now Kylian Mbappé faces a much bigger challenge than he has ever experienced on the pitch. The task of rebuilding the team from the rubble, lifting the players' spirits and returning Caen to Ligue 2 next season is no easy task.
