Here, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deo Ca Group (former student of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education) gave a speech that attracted attention with an inspirational message to students - the young generation of the country about the desire to start a business and the essential role of practicaleducation .
The importance of connecting education and production and business practices
In his speech, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang emphasized the importance of connecting education and production and business practices, in which enterprises are not only recruitment places but also companions in the process of training high-quality human resources for the country.

From the perspective of a businessman who has been involved in the field of investment and construction of transport infrastructure for more than 30 years, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang shared that every time he visited the projects implemented by Deo Ca, the Prime Minister paid attention and gave very specific instructions to the enterprise. In particular, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to focus on "training human resources for the locality, supporting other enterprises in training human resources and mastering technology".
Deo Ca Group has seriously implemented the Prime Minister's direction by building training centers right at the construction site. At the same time, it has coordinated with universities and colleges to organize many training programs for practical workers and field engineers, bringing students and lecturers to the construction site for internships and work, both to support local contractors in construction and project management, and to create a practical environment to support lecturers in teaching and students in learning.
“The spirit of “3 shifts, 4 shifts”, “eating quickly, sleeping urgently”, “not enough work during the day, working at night”, “overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, not losing to storms” is not only for our staff, engineers and workers but also for the students participating in the project internship”, said Mr. Ho Minh Hoang.
Not only stopping at practical support activities, Deo Ca Group also sent senior leaders to participate in the School Council at many educational institutions such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport, Central University of Construction... to strengthen the connection between training activities and practical needs of businesses.
In addition, Mr. Hoang also frankly pointed out some shortcomings in the current education system such as facilities and learning environment not meeting practical requirements, ineffective operation of the school council model, lack of focus on training soft skills of students and lack of effective connection between schools and businesses.
In a constructive spirit, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang recommended that the Government, the Ministry of Education and relevant parties should promote the socialization of education, especially in relation to practical training and the application of new technologies. At the same time, it is necessary to encourage the spirit of sharing to achieve “Knowledge creates value”, to recognize and use the facilities and expert teams of enterprises as part of the school’s training resources, thereby calling on enterprises to join hands to contribute and participate in practical training for students in their fields of expertise.
Inspirational Message for Students
Not only were the proposals systematic, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang's speech also left a strong impression thanks to its inspirational message for students - the future owners of Vietnam's economy.
“Vietnam does not lack talented young people. What we need is a suitable ecosystem to awaken and properly promote that aspiration,” affirmed Mr. Ho Minh Hoang. According to Mr. Hoang, if each young person starts a business not only with skills but also with responsibility and love for the country, their success will be the bricks that contribute to building the common achievements of the nation.

The Chairman of Deo Ca Group said that the company is always ready to accompany the young generation, because investing in people is the most sustainable investment. From his own practical experience - a student from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education - Mr. Ho Minh Hoang encouraged students to "keep the flame of aspiration", not be afraid of challenges, and constantly innovate to create sustainable values.
Mr. Ho Minh Hoang's speech at SV.STARTUP 2025 is not only a voice representing the business community but also a call for the entire education system, government and startup community to act together for a sustainable future - where students not only learn, but are also given the conditions to work and succeed.
If you are not persistent, how can you be a businessman?
Previously, in the series of programs of the 7th National Student Startup Festival, at the Startup Inspiration Forum from Entrepreneurs with the participation of many speakers and thousands of students, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang made a strong impression with his speech "If your heart is not steadfast, how can you be an entrepreneur", sharing a frank and realistic perspective on the startup journey. The messages touched the hearts of many young people, at the same time raising big questions about the perseverance, dedication and courage of the future generation of entrepreneurs.

Without embellishing success, the Chairman of Deo Ca Group emphasized that entrepreneurial spirit is forged not only by will but also by falling and getting up, daring to start over with determination, and reminded young people that the path to entrepreneurship is not an unrealistic dream, but a journey that requires careful preparation and the right attitude.
“Education is an indispensable foundation, we must “learn to walk” before “learn to run” to warn young people who are eager to start a business without fundamental preparation. If we don’t study, how can we work? Don’t drop out of school to pursue your passion, don’t neglect your studies because of your passion, and don’t think too far-fetched,” Mr. Hoang advised, saying that in order to master great things, young people first need to practice perseverance with small things - from lectures in class to diligent practice hours.
Next, Mr. Hoang also suggested the importance of relationships that have been and are being formed in the classroom. “Today’s friends can be tomorrow’s colleagues and if we nurture a tree together, when it blooms it will be the result of sharing,” said Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, and commented that starting a business is not an individual race, but a journey of people who know how to work together and trust.
In addition to knowledge, Mr. Ho Minh Hoang advised young people that “a person with a good attitude will never lack opportunities to go far”, attitude is the key factor to make a difference. Being open to learning, listening, taking responsibility and maintaining one’s own opinions are qualities that every employer looks for.
According to the Chairman of Deo Ca Group, a young person may not have much experience, but if he knows how to set clear goals, have a specific plan, know how to make cost estimates, manage risks and practice persuasion skills, he can completely take steady steps on the path to establishing himself and his career.
