
According to the Cam Giang District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, by the end of March, the entire district had achieved 268 out of a total of 285 criteria for advanced new rural communes, averaging 17.86 criteria per commune. Cam Giang has achieved 5 out of 9 criteria in building an advanced new rural district. These criteria are: planning; irrigation and disaster prevention; electricity; economy; security, order, and public administration. The 4 criteria that have not yet been met are transportation, culture-health-education, and environment/quality of living environment.
Cam Giang district is striving to achieve advanced new rural district status this year. Therefore, in addition to all 15 communes meeting the advanced new rural commune standards, the district will continue to upgrade and expand district roads, ensuring all necessary traffic safety measures are in place. Simultaneously, it will complete the education component by building three high schools that meet Level 2 standards. The district will also focus on implementing waste sorting at source and developing models for treating surface water in ponds and lakes.
