The units recommend that people who regularly travel through this highway access area should pay attention to travel safely and conveniently.

Specifically, from June 7, Ho Chi Minh City banned all motorbikes from entering the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway (from An Phu intersection to Vo Chi Cong street) in both directions.

Alternative route: Vo Chi Cong Street - Nguyen Duy Trinh Street - Do Xuan Hop Street - parallel road of Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway - Mai Chi Tho Street and vice versa.

People need to follow the orders of traffic controllers and road signs. The Department of Construction also requested the Ho Chi Minh City Police to direct forces to increase patrols and traffic regulation during the implementation of the above plan.

Previously, units including the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction and the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department met to discuss traffic safety and order on the 4km section of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.

The Department determined that the parallel road on the right side of the expressway (from An Phu intersection to Do Xuan Hop street) is currently operating stably.

From then on, the parties agreed to ban motorbikes from entering the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway (section from Vo Chi Cong street - Do Xuan Hop street; from An Phu intersection - Do Xuan Hop street).

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , the Road Traffic Infrastructure Management Center (under the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction) said it is urgently installing road signs, announcement banners, and propaganda to inform people in the area.

According to Tuoi Tre Online, the number of motorbikes entering the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway (from An Phu intersection to Vo Chi Cong street) is very crowded every day.

Nearby, a parallel road to the expressway has been put into operation since September 2023 to reduce traffic pressure on this overloaded expressway. Over the past time, the project has also reduced the load on the expressway, connecting to neighboring roads such as Nguyen Thi Dinh, Do Xuan Hop, Mai Chi Tho, and Ring Road 2.

In particular, during the construction of An Phu intersection, the parallel road will solve traffic congestion at this intersection and the access road to the highway.
