Pi Network Price Drops to All-Time Low

(Dan Tri) - According to data from CoinMarketCap, the price of Pi Network reached $0.32 on the afternoon of August 6. By the evening of August 6, this cryptocurrency had slightly recovered to $0.34.

The above price is 90% lower than the peak of $3 that Pi Network reached in February. At the same time, this is also the lowest price ever recorded for this cryptocurrency.

Over the past time, the PiCoreTeam has continuously released new updates on the ecosystem and the project development process. However, the Pi Network coin price has continued to decrease. This has made the community gradually become frustrated and lose confidence in the project.

In a post on social media X, cryptocurrency analyst Kim H Wong said the Pi network is facing two major problems.

"There are not many applications in the Pi ecosystem that are open for exchange. In addition, the number of Pi coins held by the community is also very small. Most of the Pi in users' wallets is locked. These things make it very difficult for the Pi network to grow," Wong shared.

According to data from PiScan , the Pi Network project will unlock more than 166 million tokens to exchanges in the next 30 days, with nearly 9.8 million Pi Network coins to be listed on August 16.

This constantly increasing supply creates strong selling pressure. When buying demand is not enough to absorb the new supply, the price of Pi Network will continue to fall deeply. That explains the "submerged" state of this currency in recent times.

Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has left open the possibility of listing the project, while Bybit, the second largest exchange, has flatly refused.
